I just joined the group and saw this post, so it may be a little late, but I recommend GracePointe in Denton. It is a fairly small church but is VERY welcoming and family oriented. It is officially non-demoninational but is based on the Southern Baptist beliefs. Visit our website at: www.makingitrelevant.com

Come try out Green Valley Baptist Church. We are on 9901 FM 428 in Aubrey. Sunday school is at 9:30 and service is at 10:30. We have about 60 people that attend regularly.

We have a lot of youth and younger children. On Wednesday, we have Kid's Glory Land worship at 7pm. I take my 3 and 1 years and they really enjoy it.

I myself have been in Texas about 3 months but our 17 year old son has found a great church he likes in Denton called Denton Bible Church on University or the 380 and Nottingham. The rest of us (there is my husband and my 11 year old and myself)have been looking for a different church because we worship differently than they do. I was raised a Baptist but veer more towards the assembly of God or charismatic side now that I've been married for 22 years and my husband worships that way. However, Denton Bible is a lot like the Baptist church..Very quiet in worship and we like excited worship so we don't attend there. My son plays the drums for the youth over there and is active there. He really likes it. We've been to about 2 services and the pastor is awesome so you may want your daughter to try it. If you hear of any other churches that are assembly let me know. Hope she likes it. Our son is a senior in high school.

Yes, we love Denton Bible as well :) If she has children they have a great children's ministry. Also if you are looking for more traditional Baptist-Southmont Baptist is a great church family too. We have visited there many times and the people are wonderful.
