Seeking a Baby Nurse
I am expecting a baby in mid-September and am searching for a nighttime baby nurse who can come to my home from about 10:00pm through 6:00am. I would love to hear from moms who can refer an experienced, compassionate baby nurse to me. I live in Northbrook. Thanks!

I am the Co-Founder and CFO of a company called Baby Just Home Nursing Services, LLC. We are the only company that provides neonatal intensive care nurses in you home. I myself am a neonatal nurse and mom of two premature infants that needed help in the home. Please check out our website at www.babyjusthome.com, we can send a highly qualified nurse to your home to take care of your baby while you rest, and good for you for taking the time to take care of yourself!!! Our nurses can feed, change and care for your baby for any amount of time you need. We are the only company out there that provides such a service from such qualified RN's. Call me at ###-###-#### to dicuss your needs. Good luck and congratulations! N. H

I know you haven't been through the first weeks of motherhood yet but who ever gave you the idea of having a night nurse is brilliant. I honestly do recommend though that after the first few weeks (3-4) you not bother with one. You will gain a lot more self confidence and ability by doing the nights yourself. Don't worry - we all get through it. I imagine you are working full time? You should try your OB's office. They probably have lots of names lined up! In my OB's office they always had pamphlets hanging in the washroom with names of doulas and nurses. Check when you're there next time. Also, I know it can be scary with how things will be with the first one so we get all geared up thinking the worst. Its our jobs as mothers...But be reassured that it will be okay and take it from me. I was a nervous wreck at the end of my pregnancy but once the baby is here you are a total natural. It really is amazing what we do. Good luck, hang in there, and share the great news when he or she is here - Congratulations!

Hi!
After our daughter was born, my husband and I realized we needed a lot more sleep if we were going to survive. Emily (our daughter) was a rough sleeper in the beginning. We contacted Birthways/Postpartum Doulas. They were wonderful! We worked with Lynn Olejeski(sorry spelling may not be right). She came 1-2 nights a week and also helped us figure out how to get Emily to sleep on her own. Contact me if you have any questions.
