Saving Money by Shopping Online

Hi! Just wondering if anyone can recommend an online resource for shopping. I want to buy detergent, fabric softener, etc. I've found that I don't want to go to Target because I end up spending too much on other things (yes, I need more self control)! LOL! Just wondering if anyone can recommend a place online to buy household items? Does anyone buy paper towels and toilet paper online? Please share if you know of a good option for these household items!

Thanks

We buy a lot of household items on Soap.com. If you spend more than $50 (I believe) then shipping is free. We use a lot of environmentally friendly items, and they carry a decent amount at a good price.

I buy all of our toiletries, etc. at Drugstore.com. They also sell cleaning supplies, toilet paper, laundry detergent etc., too. If you spend $25 or more, they ship for free. I got turned on to this after I gave birth and didn't want to go out shopping right after having the baby and I've stuck with it. Also, if you have American Airline miles, they partner together so I also accrue airline miles by shopping there. (and yes, they give you Drugstore.com "bucks" with your purchases; I have a $16 credit right now for my next purchase)

I always price comparison shop between soap.com, drugstore.com, and amazon... good luck!!

Whenever I need laundry detergent, I go to Fleet Farm and fill the cart up with four large contains (the scent-free, dye-free stuff is only 9.99 when it's on sale!) Since there is no room in the cart of anything else, I leave immediately. :-)

For toilet paper, I go to ShopKo. Every once in a while they send me a coupon for $10 off any purchase over $50 (or something similar) so I just buy a very very large heaping pile of their store-brand toilet paper (when it's on sale) and use my coupon. (Obviously, since the cart is full, you won't have to worry about buying anything else!) :-) I love Shopko toilet paper.

You know www.diapers.com? Well, from that site you can buy from www.soap.com which has those household products. Just be careful b/c sometimes they are cases of small containers of the soap which is annoying b/c of all the packaging.

Amazon! It's the best and you can get free shipping on most items with a $25 minimum (which I do because when I buy detergent and fabric softener I buy two at a time). I also have bought toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, anything I would normally buy at Target. I also can't go in there without buying "extras" so I literally shop on Amazon so I don't have to ever set foot in there! You can buy anything on Amazon.

I have bought items from Drugstore, com also and some prices are comp to the store and others are awesome. I am not sure if they still do it but after so many purchases or dollaras you get savings off the next order. You can also go through a savings/rebate site like www.ebates.com and get a "refund" on a quarterly basis. A friend told me she gets great prices through a mom thing on amazon. She also gets diapers through there.
