Saving Money by Shopping Online

Hi! Just wondering if anyone can recommend an online resource for shopping. I want to buy detergent, fabric softener, etc. I've found that I don't want to go to Target because I end up spending too much on other things (yes, I need more self control)! LOL! Just wondering if anyone can recommend a place online to buy household items? Does anyone buy paper towels and toilet paper online? Please share if you know of a good option for these household items!

Thanks

We buy a lot of household items on Soap.com. If you spend more than $50 (I believe) then shipping is free. We use a lot of environmentally friendly items, and they carry a decent amount at a good price.

I buy all of our toiletries, etc. at Drugstore.com. They also sell cleaning supplies, toilet paper, laundry detergent etc., too. If you spend $25 or more, they ship for free. I got turned on to this after I gave birth and didn't want to go out shopping right after having the baby and I've stuck with it. Also, if you have American Airline miles, they partner together so I also accrue airline miles by shopping there. (and yes, they give you Drugstore.com "bucks" with your purchases; I have a $16 credit right now for my next purchase)

My friend buys diapers on amazon.com. I'm not sure if they sell cleaning supplies or not!

I know to save money I will go to Braums for a quick grocery run or the Dollar store for cleaning supplies (b/c I too get pulled in by all the Target pretties).

Amazon.com! : ) I started using it for diapers, and found they sell household cleaning supplies, and beauty items as well and I DO save money. I signed up for an Amazon Mom account ~

https://www.amazon.com/gp/mom/signup/info/ref=lp_mom

it's free for 12 months, and gives me free shipping during that time on "Prime" eligible items. They also offer a "Subscribe & Save" program that gives you 30% off, and you manage how often you wish to have an item delivered to you.

I second joining amazon mom. Since I signed up, that is the only place I buy diapers- they're cheaper than Costco or the store with coupons AND they are delivered to your door for free! Although I haven't bought any, I know they do sell cleaning supplies, toiletries, paper products. and groceries. Just make sure you compare prices- they do have awesome deals, but some of their stuff can be super inflated- you have to know your prices!
You should check out hip2save dot com . A ton of her deals are online and she does store match ups for just about every chain out there (in case you decide to go back to in store shopping).

Check out the 99 cents only stores if they have them in your area as well... they have detergent, fabric softener, comet, cleaners, paper towels etc all for 99 cents and I have found quality to be the same as other cleaners/ detergents... you still may need to use self control... but each item is only 99 cents so you can't go too crazy....

I have bought items from Drugstore, com also and some prices are comp to the store and others are awesome. I am not sure if they still do it but after so many purchases or dollaras you get savings off the next order. You can also go through a savings/rebate site like www.ebates.com and get a "refund" on a quarterly basis. A friend told me she gets great prices through a mom thing on amazon. She also gets diapers through there.

I don't know where I'd be w/out Amazon.com. We pay $75/ year for Amazon Prime which means we get FREE two-day shipping on most things. I love it!!

There is also an Amazon Mom program where you can save on household items and shipping.

We use their subscribe and save program for the diapers. They're automatically delivered every month. Signing up for the subscriptions / delivery saves you an additional 15% off!

I seriously buy almost everything there and can't even imagine how much we have saved in time and gas money...

You know www.diapers.com? Well, from that site you can buy from www.soap.com which has those household products. Just be careful b/c sometimes they are cases of small containers of the soap which is annoying b/c of all the packaging.

Whenever I need laundry detergent, I go to Fleet Farm and fill the cart up with four large contains (the scent-free, dye-free stuff is only 9.99 when it's on sale!) Since there is no room in the cart of anything else, I leave immediately. :-)

For toilet paper, I go to ShopKo. Every once in a while they send me a coupon for $10 off any purchase over $50 (or something similar) so I just buy a very very large heaping pile of their store-brand toilet paper (when it's on sale) and use my coupon. (Obviously, since the cart is full, you won't have to worry about buying anything else!) :-) I love Shopko toilet paper.

Amazon! It's the best and you can get free shipping on most items with a $25 minimum (which I do because when I buy detergent and fabric softener I buy two at a time). I also have bought toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, anything I would normally buy at Target. I also can't go in there without buying "extras" so I literally shop on Amazon so I don't have to ever set foot in there! You can buy anything on Amazon.

AMAZON is the best source for all things non-perishable and it's delivered right to your door step...FREE SHIPPING if you have large orders.

We buy organic: cleaning supplies, all things paper, baby/toddler products (diapers, swimmers, diaper cream, food) batteries, beauty & grooming products, FiberOne cereal;), cat food, toys, books, socks! You get the picture. everything.

I love to shop for household goods & grocery, but I save a small fortune by shopping on line. Now, I only physically shop for perishable items.

www.Zappos.com is my favorite online shoe store. Free delivery & returns.
