Sauna in Plano....where ???
Hi,
I used to go to the sauna when I lived in Germany all the time.....
Now I'm looking for place to go in Plano, but all I've found was 24hourFitness....and I don't want to join them, because I've heard of all the problems trying to cancel the contract.
Does anyone know of a place (like a swimming pool maybe) that offers a sauna as well....where I don't have to make a contract ????
Thanks !!!!

Lifetime Fitness has a wet (has the eucalyptis smell, etc) and dry sauna and indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs. I go in there regularly after my workout. Unfortunately, you do have to be a member, which sounds likeyou don't want, but I just love that club. I do many of their classes and swim all the time.
Hope that helps!

LA Fitness (Ave K & Spring Creek) No contract but there is a joining fee.

Some of the high end hotels with spas have saunas. I did not look to see where you are located.
I don't know what you might have to pay for the service, probably a fee for using the locker area which would be access to the saunas. You might check it out.
Westin has a good spa on 121/Legacy area, others are Crescent downtown, Four Seasons.
Good luck.

This is not in Plano, but King Sauna in Dallas offers an amazing experience.

There is also a Russian Banya in Carrolton, but in my opinion, the facilities and customer service do not even compare to the Korean place mentioned above.

Wow...good point. They only places I've seen with saunas are the fitness centers. I know Lifetime Fitness has a sauna but you have to sign a contract. I wonder if you contacted the manager or owner if they would work a deal with you? It's worth a try, I think. Go in person though and when they try to sell you on a contract, tell them right away what you are looking for. Good luck!

Try Life Time Fitness. They do not require a long term contract. They also have specials where you do not have to pay an initiation fee. We have been members ever since they entered the Dallas/FW market.

It's not a sauna - but if you are looking for fitness and stress relief with some heat & humidity - you might try Sunstone Yoga - they have a "try it program" 10 days for 10 dollars - also no long term contracts - in Plano they are at Park & Preston and in Richardson on Plano Rd north of Belt Line (www.sunstoneyoga.com)
A Little About Me: I am a Nana with an almost 5 year old granddaughter with me - a former police officer - yoga studio owner/teacher in Wylie and I trained and also teach for Sunstone as well. (www.emeraldlotus.com)
