Sassy Teething Feeder
I got one of these for a present. Just curious if anyone has used one and can recommend what food to put in it. I am clueless. Thanks!
So What Happened?™
Thanks everyone for the great ideas! I am excited to put it to use. :-)

I've heard of people using them with things liek ice cubes or fresh fruits and vegetables. Anything that will sort of mush up as they chew on it.

L.,
The answer depends on how old your baby is. If they are just starting out on fruits, then pop a few cubes of a fresh pear in, or older and safely tested a variety of fruits then mix it up in the same serving. Sometimes to freeze them after you chop them is nice and comforting to the teething baby. I used it years ago for about any snack my daughter was old enough for and it kept her busy, entertained, comforted her with coldness and or texture of the mesh, plus fed her so I could fold laundry or watch the news....whatever. Crackers to cheese to fruit to cooked veggies or a fun combination of whatever solid foods that he/she is ready for. Some frozen some not (cheese cube)....
Have fun!!

They are great for all kinds of fruit. I used to put apples and strawberries in the most. Make sure if you are putting in something staining that they're in their high chair with a bib. A little mess is well worth the fun they have and see thier eyes light up when they get to taste something new.

I always put fresh or frozen fruits in them. Really anything that I could fit into it. Sometimes just an ice cube makes their gums feel better. It's a great snack time thing. When you give them a piece of orange for example they can sit in the high chair and go to town and you don't have to worry about them choking on anything. I thought it was great.

We have one, and my son just loves it. We've put pieces of banana in it for him, and cooked sweet potatoes. Also, for his teething, we freeze cubes of baby pear juice in a small ice tray, and when he wants to chew on something, we put one of those juice/ice cubes into it and give it to him. Of course, it requires a bath afterward, but he eats the whole thing and it definitely calms him down!

ANYTHING fresh or frozen! Eli loves loves LOVES strawberries in them. I cut them in a few pieces, put him in a diaper on a blanket outside and let him go at them. It makes for great pictures:) Frozen things are good for when they are teething and having pain. I keep one in the diaper bag for when we are eating away from home so he can have some of whatever we are having. Fruit, veggies, meats, everything! The juicier and smushier the better.

We used one for my daughter (who's now 3) and she LOVED it! It was the coolest thing. I didn't use it so much as a teether, but more so she could enjoy foods that she would normally choke on. We put cantelope, honeydew, watermelon and apples in it. Whatever fresh fruit was in season. I have an 8 week old son now, too, and we've already purchased one for him when he's old enough to use it :)
