Salons

Can anyone recommend a salon and stylist that does great hair coloring and has experience cutting fine hair. My old stylist just doesn't seem to be doing a very good job anymore. Any advice would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

Thank you so much for the recommendations. I really appreciate them! Now, I just have to get the courage up to try someone new. I will let you know in the future how it went. Thanks Again!!!!!!

I would recommend Cameron Watson. He works out of LifeSpa (at Lifetime Fitness) in Commerce Township. I went to him after many visits where I ended up not getting what I wanted from my previous stylist. When I first went to Cameron, I had people stopping me in meetings etc asking me who had cut my hair. The phone # is ###-###-####. He is awesome. Good luck!!

Hi C.,
I go to a salon in Brighton, Sncroniz. It is located in the shopping center with Kohl's off of US-23 and Lee Rd. I go to Lauren Frugard, who I think is amazing. She is great with color and working with all types of hair textures. I can say this with confidence because the texture of my hair has changed with pregnancy, stress, and of course age:( over the last few years. Thankfully, Lauren has been able to adjust the cut just enough so that I can wear the styles I like without alot of fuss. I would HIGHLY recommend her and if you mention Kim from Highland, she may even give you 10% off your first cut. All the Best, Kim

I used to work at Gina Agosta Hair Color & Design in Novi. I don't do hair anymore but that is where I will always go for color as that is their specialty. The colorists do color all day long and the stylists do cutting and perming so that is what they are good at. Their number is ###-###-####. They are all well-trained so everyone is good.

I have also gone to Charisma at Laurel Park for hair cuts and have been pretty pleased. But, color will always be done at Gina's for me!!
Good luck

Salon Legato in downtown Farmington is very nice, its an Aveda Salon and they use all natural products. Jessica is their color expert and she is AWESOME!

Fantastic Sam's works fine for me. And my daughter in-law manages one and was just saying that the stylists are supposed to sorta 'renew' their abiities to keep up with the latest styles. Take a class and learn how to.

I think it's a bit on the pricey side, but as often as one gets a color job...I suppose it's doable for "letting someone else do the driving". Sometimes it's worth the extra expense just to sit back and luxuriate.

My friend, Dori Dieck (DoReean) does a great job at Agape Salon in Waterford on M-59. She's been in business for over 10 years and is a wonderful Christian woman!

Becky's Hair Force in Waterford. Karen is great and very experienced. Reasonable rates and nice atmosphere.

My stylist is Ali at C C& Co Hair Salon in Fenton. She cuts and colors my fine hair and does a great job. I liked her so much that my mom went to her and she was VERY happy with the results.
