Salon
I am a mom who really needs to find a salon that is reasonable and good...where I can pay less than $100 for a cut and highlights for medium lenght hair... Does it exist?? I don't like the steaky look...but more of a natural all around nice job...??

Try "My Friend's Place" on Third Street in Elmhurst. I think their prices are reasonable.
Good luck!

Neo Bella Salon in Naperville, at Rickert and 75th Street. I just recently started going there, and so far so good. Excellent job on color (Goldwell products), good cut too. Haircut was $42, I think color was $70 for single-process, so it may hit your price range. Lots of discounts/incentives available, I know they're having a 20% off color promotion for the month of January. It's new-ish, and they seem very eager to please.

There's a place in Old Town called Salon Rouge. I haven't been there in quite awhile and I have never had my hair colored, but I seem to recall haircuts being like $30-ish. I know it's definitely compartively inexpensive. You can also choose to just get a haircut without drying/styling which is cheaper than with a style. They'll still put you under a dryer in winter months so you're not out in the cold with a wet head, but it saves some $ (and time!)
Here, I found the site and prices:

I'm not sure of the exact cost but innovation salon in westmont is fabulous. Nitou (I think I butchered the spelling) is wonderful. Also Regency Hair School in Darien. They are monitored by the teachers and do a good job too and it's SUPER cheap. I tend to go get a haircut I like then go to the hair school for maintenance.

Hello, I go to Elegante North in Naperville. I use Lauren and I really like how she does my hair (which is very difficult: super thick, lots of it, and frizzy/curly) The first day I walked it, she said I know exactly what you need before I even opened my mouth. and I've been with her for more than 2 years now. For a cut, blowdry and highlights you'll probably pay just a tad over your budget, but I know you'll get good quality out of her. Ask for Lauren:
