morning.....kindergarten will be tiring for her by afternoon, she'll need to veg out when she gets home

I did AM with both of mine, it helps get you prepared for the REAL thing when first grade starts.

Turning into a "morning" person for me was not my favorite thing to do, so I opted for that "jump start" with kindergarten.

I always preferred morning - but if you like to sleep late or if your kid has a hard time getting motivated that early, do afternoon.

Is she still a napper? Would she be better off doing K in the morning if it meant she could take a nap in the afternoon? Even if she does not nap, she may be tired enough to need a rest. I know my kiddo did better with morning preschool than afternoon.

My kids just had pm prek. It was a pain in the butt! You get up and do your morning routine.. if I needed to run to the store I was so pressed for time by noon. ( we also live almost an hour away from any major store) Then you still didn't have time to run and do errands because I had to drive to get anywhere and still be able to be home by 3 to pick them up.

I would much rather have morning classes that way you can pick them up by noon and have the rest of your day open to do what you need to.

But now that Im working afternoons/nights we are doing pm classes again just so I will be able to see them before I go to work.

I always liked the am best because then you had the rest of the day to do stuff. If my kids were in PM it would be hanging out at home everyday until schooltime. Also my kids are much fresher in the AM.

my daughter just finished K and she had the morning. i really liked morning, but thats just because i think my daughter is at her 'best; in the morning. it worked really well for us.

I'd choose morning every time.

Why? Because I feel like I spend all morning waiting for any afternoon appointments and would hate to feel that way every day for kindergarten!

My first was afternoon my second morning. Although people did give good reasons for their choices actually doing both I can say there is no difference. Both kids did fine.

The only reason I switched to morning with the second was they were both in school. It was just easier to get them both going at the same time. That is really what you want to consider here, what fits into my schedule best.
