Safety Gate

I am shopping around to put a gate at the bottom of some stairs. Something that is easy to open when you come down, that mounts to the wall and is metal. I know there are a lot of choices out there but I am just wondering what you all use. What are the most common and affordable ones out there?
Thanks for sharing!

What can I do next?

As a professional babyproofer, I would recommend using the Kidco Deluxe Angle Safeway gate. It is an affordable, durable, and most of all safe option to prevent children from climbing up and down the stairs. There are also mounting kits available to eliminate damage to ballusters and handrails. We sell the kidco gate for $79.95. Mounting kits run between $12 and $35 depending on the style needed. hi V.....oh my god, my husband and i had the same problem when we had our daughter. we shopped around and actually found a great gate that gets as wide as you want and trhen you push a lever down and there's no way that thing is moving, and you don't have to destroy your wall to mount it on! it's called "safety 1st perfect fit gate" and we found it in toys r us!

I love Dream Baby gates - I have purchased two of them and have used them for more than 2 years now. They are great.

We use the one from Walmart. It's a Safety 1st. I like it, we use it for our dogs so they stay downstairs. It's the one handed gate. Although it is not metal, it's plastic.
