RV Parks in Vacinity of Suisun City, CA

We will be traveling to Suisun City, CA this April for a wedding. My husband and I will be driving my elderly parents and their RV. My sister said there is no SAFE RV Park in Suisun City. I am looking for a SAFE, CLEAN, QUIET, PET FRIENDLY RV Park for my parents to stay in for a couple nights. We don't need to stay in Suisun City...The surrounding area would be fine. Any Hints I can follow up on? S.

What can I do next?

I grew up around this area. Sadly, it has deteriorated and I would advise that you not stay in Suisun City, nearby Fairfield or Rio Vista. I would recommend that you stay somewhere in Vacaville, CA which is just North East of Suisun. It is a short 10-15 minute drive on I-80, yet it is much safer. Even the Walmart parking lot in Vacaville would be better than any place in Suisun. RVs can stay for free there. Best of luck and do enjoy your trip. CA is not all that bad! ; )

I'm not sure exactly the names of the rv parks but if you were to look further down Highway 12 I know you would find some rv parks just outside of Suisun City. The next town over is Rio Vista and that's about 20 minutes from Suisun, but I know there are some campgrounds in between on the delta. Try searching off of Highway 12 and you may have some luck.

I grew up in the Fairfield/Vacaville area which is close by Suisun City. I would agree with your sister with there are no safe RV parks in Suisun City. I would recommend a safe RV park in Vacaville close to the freeway which would be about 10 minutes away from Suisun. The website for the RV park is http://www.midwayrvpark.com/ . We had some family stay at this particular RV park while visiting and they were pleased with it. I hope this helps out...

Go online with Google and search for RV parks and Suisun California. Then call them. Contact the Chamber of Commerce for that area and ask their advice. Call the law enforcement agency for that area, explain your needs and circumstances and ask for their advice. I don't think it matters what town, city or area you visit, the elderly are always targets for theft and scams, becasue they can't fight back. Just being aware of your location is the first major step. You wouldn't leave your young kids alone, so don't leave your elderly parents alone in some place they don't know. Places like Thousand Trails have rv parks all around the country and they provide a minimal amount of security for their parks, you can't get in unless you're a resident/guest. AAA might also be another place to check as well as AARP for recommendations for places to stay. Have a great trip!!!
