Can anyone recommend a good (not too expensive) running stroller? I have an almost-8-month-old baby girl who loves the outdoors and I would really like to get back to exercising like I used to. Thanks ladies!

What can I do next?

Whatever you do, DO NOT get the In Step Safari jogging stroller, it sucks!!! The tires are constantly getting flat, I hate it!

I have a baby trend stroller, red with a hand brake. I really like it for running. I t does not have a swivel wheel in from, so in the market or department store, it is not good, but for long walks and runs, even on the beach, I really like it. Two other downers , how the seat adjusts and the sides could be more cushioned (so baby's head does not hit plastic if sleeping)

I have the baby trend that you can get at babies r us. It works well for my purposes of going for runs and walks. Plus you can usually use a coupon so it takes it down to about $100.

I totally agree with the others!! The BOB Revolution stroller is the greatest!! We only have 1 stroller and it works great!! We have the AW Revoltion in black. I swear by it. Use it for stroller strides, running, etc. We took it hiking too one time!! GREAT stroller!! Check www.tinyride.com That is the cheapest I found it!

Hi
A lot of moms at the www.babybootcamp.com class I attend have a BOB. It is pretty expensive, but if you are serious about running and exercising outdoors, a good investment.

Here are some great sites, with info and reviews:

Hello,

Not sure where you live but I would check out Baby RESALE stores. Like children's orchard, busy babies, piper's space or kids galore. They all sell used baby items. That is where I got mine for $75.00. I just made sure my daughter was comfortable, the seat belt worked, it had a sun shade and the front wheel swiveled so you can turn easily!! WAY BETTER then paying full price. good luck! These store are in Rancho Cucamonga and Upland

The BOB stroller is the BEST. A little $$$ but worth every penny. Try finding on a Craigs List or EBay. They do go qucik.

I bought the Jeep Liberty stoller at Babies R Us because I was looking to save some dough as well. I wanted that one because the front wheel swivelled which I had read is a must-have. It's okay for my purposes so far; my biggest complaints being that it doesn't fold down very well, the front wheel (which was pre-assembled) almost fell off, the cup holders are a joke size-wise, and the canopy doesn't cover very well. I really wish I had held out and gotten the more expensive Bob Revolution.

I too think the BOB is a great stroller for the money. While it might cost twice as much as some of the cheaper strollers you will find in the discount stores, it's quality is ten times better. It's truly built to last. I own a baby shop in San Clemente and we provide free stroller consultations so you can really get educated with the stroller before you buy. We even rent strollers by the day so you can try it first. If you aren't in our area we can certanily help you out over the phone as well. We ship for free and we do price match. There are some specials going on BOB's right now so it's a great time to buy.
Best of luck with your search. It's so nice getting out with your baby especially with a stroller you love!

I run with my Bob Revolution but it is an expensive one. Try looking on Craigslist. Before I bought mine new, I found a few on Craigslist that I almost got, but then was able to get a new one for a great price. The only thing I'd recommend since you want to run, is get a jogger with a front wheel that you can swivel or lock. "They" recommend you lock the front wheel while running but it is so nice to have it in swivel mode. I ran with a jogger that only locked for 4 years and I was fine with that but once I ran with a jogger that could swivel, I was in heaven!

My friend Kelly has an interent stroller site, check it out, last time I talked to her she was starting a site for people to post their used strollers for sale. www.joggermom.com

Have fun!

I have the BOB revolution stroller and I love it. My son is 6 months old and likes to be in it. It folds up nicely and is easy to manuever. Although it is a little pricey it is worth it. I bought mine online at REI.

I'm on my second jogger stroller right now. After looking around I was able to find a good deal on an Expedition Jogger Stroller. I found it for about $115 clearance at Babies R Us. Within a few weeks of buying this, I saw two similar Expedition Jogger strollers on sale at Big Lots for $60. If you're not in a rush, I'd advise waiting for a deal. Don't buy any second-hand. My first jogger stroller was a Jeep model and second-hand. Although it was only several years old, I couldn't find anyone to repair the wheel mounts after problems arose and buying parts would have cost nearly as much as a new stroller.

Are you still nursing? I still am and can't jog even in a good running bra because it's so uncomfortable. Mommy-and-Me yoga might be the way to go if you find this too...

Before you buy a stroller, try www.freecycle.org

Someone in your area might be ready to give up theirs and willing to gift it to you.

I got my Bob stroller from a second-hand store. Used, but in great condition and very affordable. Check out the resale stores near you to find a good buy.

I know a great one is the BOB, but I didn't want to spend that kind of money. I ended up buying the Jeep jogging stroller from Babies'R'Us. It is fairly inexpensive and I have been very happy with it.

The baby trend ones at Babies are us are close to $100...I have one and have used if for 2 1/2 years. It works, but is not as good as the fancy expensive ones. If you are not running long distances they work great.
Look on craigs list too!

The only running stroller I would recommend is the BOB revolution, it is a bit pricey but well worth every penny. I have the double and a single I love it so much! If you decide you can't afford it just make sure the front wheel is a swivel wheel. Hope this helps.

BABYJOGGER-city series. We bought it on Amazon for $275, but can range up to $400. I bought the converter for my infant and now we use it by itself, so it was our only stroller. The best part is that the strap in the seat is what collapses the stroller, so you just need one hand!

We have a Bob Revolution Single and a Bob Revolution Duallie. Both are the best money we have spent on baby items.

We bought our single at REI during their Close Out sale in February and got about $50 off the regular price about 3 years ago. We bought our Duallie this past year during their Labor Day Sale and got $100 off. By far the best prices on Bobs that I could find. Plus at REI they will assemble it for you and show you how to use everything.

If you go with the Bob definitely spend the extra $35 for the accessory bar for your keys and drinks.

You can order the stroller at REI.com and then have them free ship it to your nearest REI store. The San Diego store people have always been really nice!

I would also recommend that you go to USA Baby in San Diego and test drive the different jog strollers before you buy one.

Good Luck!

I have a Dreamer Slingshot. My daughter is now 3 and still sits in it for an hour or more. It has the compartments for snacks on the side (where the kid sits) just like the BOB. They even have Dreamers at Target so you can see (and touch it) before buying it! Have fun running!!
