Romantic Getaways
If you had 3-4 days to head out with your husband in late June and you wanted to do a more romantic destination, where would you go?

A.,
My husband and I have been going to this wonderful bed and breakfast at the Lake of the Ozarks for the past 4 years. We aren't able to go this year because we just had a baby 13 days ago but I highly recommend the place. It's called the Garden House Inn and is run by Doug and Lil Meyer. They are great people and you will find it not only romantic but relaxing! Their website is www.thegardenhousebnb.com.
Hope you enjoy your trip!

You didn't mention a price range, but I would highly recommend the Napa Valley. I have family ties there, so I am definitely biased, but if you like wine (at all), it is beautiful country, and that time of year there is really nice. Not too hot, cool evenings. Just gorgeous. There are B&B's, or you can go a little less expensively and stay on the edge of town. Everything is within 15 minutes to one hour away. Also, you could spend some time in San Francisco, depending on where you decide to fly into (the most convenient if you're driving to Napa is Sacramento), but SFO and Oakland work fine, too. Some great wineries to visit are: Berenger's (for the story of the two brothers who started it), Robert Mondavi (very educational), Stag's Leap (on Silverado Trail; incredibly grounds and fabulous wine; boasts the oldest swimming pool in the state of CA!). I could go on and on!
Good luck, and let us know where you wind up going!

My husband and I went to St. Louis of all places last October and it was such a great time! There is TONS to do and some fantastic food places.

Chicago is always great too...fabulous food, never a dull moment, and only a 1 hour flight. We also like San Francisco and the Napa/Sonoma area. I have to agree about Eureka Springs too, however for a driving trip. It is really geared for a romantic adult weekend.

My hubby and I would take off to a B&B. We have visited one in Atchison and one in Pleasant Hill. Not that far, not terribly expensive, but great for one on one time ;-)

Eureka Springs, Arkansas is a great place. They have lots of bed and breakfast's and places to rent bikes or just go hiking, lots of great little shops and local restaurants. It is located in the Ozarks so the scenery is wonderful. Have a wonderful time where ever you choose.

depends on if you're flying or driving, but i would suggest colorado, san antonio, and if you're driving, the ozarks. (sounds cheesy but there are some really great "honeymoon" cabins in the ozarks!) oh also atlanta. good luck and have a great time!
