Can anyone recommend a good place to go for a 2-3 day getaway without the kids? We'd like to do things like tennis, biking, walk in the woods, maybe swim, enjoy a nice dinner out, etc. We'd like to stay somewhere within an hour's drive of Columbus this June. We've been to Hocking Hills.

Have you heard of Cherry Vally Lodge? My husband and I considered it for a place to have our wedding/reception, and it's beautiful. They have a spa, and some really pretty hiking trails, and tennis too i believe. They DO have a waterpark for kids though, so you'll probably have lots of families there with you. their website: www.cherryvalleylodge.com.

2 favorites are Salt Fork in Cadiz, Oh. It is east of Zanesville. And Port Clinton on Lake Erie. Both are beautiful this time of year. Have fun, and good luck!
My husband and I love to go to Mohican state lodge. They have a pool, bar, resources for activities around the lodge, and we even went to visit Amish country for some shopping! Its about 1 to 1 1/2 hours away.

My husband and I went down to Hocking Hills a couple of years ago without the kids and stayed at Old Man's Cave Chalet's. A little pricy, but nice. I would recommend one of their end cabins...a little more private. Have fun!
