Does anyone know anything about Rit's white-wash & whitener & brightener? The directions don't really say what you can and cannot use them on and I am afraid to use them and mess up my laundry! The whitener & brightener says its a brightener for dingy white and colored fabrics so, this may sound silly but does that include darks? Or better yet has anyone used it? Did it work for stains? Can you tell a difference? Thank you for helping!!

What can I do next?

I used to use both of those in college!
The White-Wash is for ALL WHITE, no printed/screen printed items like socks, sheets, white shirts. It will ruin anything with the slightest bit of color, similar to bleach.
The Whitener & Brightener is for whites that have prints/screen prints/color accents on them. You can also use it on lights, but not on darks.
The White-Wash will remove some stains, but if it's a white item and all cotton, regular bleach works better. The Whitener & Brightener just makes things a little less dingy, not really useful for stain removal.
I hope this helps! Good luck!

It is not for darks... but why would you want to use it on darks? Only whites and bright colors. It works great. But you would only use it on clothes that you would use oxygen bleach on.

If you want to use it it for stains, you will need to put the item of clothing in the sink with hot water and the powder and let it soak. I have had great success with it removing stains.

Not darks. I liked it when I used it. I also like another whitener called Mrs. Stewart's Liquid Bluing.
