Rhinoplasty

Hi Moms,

I have wanted a nose job since high school and have never had the nerve to have it done. I am at the point in my life where I am ready. Can anyone recommend a surgeon. I live in North Arlington, however, I am willing to travel anywhere in the metroplex/Houston area. I would also like the to know the pain and recovery involved. I am not seeking anything drastic, I just was born with a large nose for my small face and I hate it! Any advice would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

After having my little girl I was not feeling very pretty about myself and had always wanted some work done! So I went on the search...I interviewed over 12 plastic surgeons here in the DFW area....my final choice was Dr. Mason in Southlake. He was so nice to me and my little girl when I went in for consultation. His staff is amazing, the facility over the top, and his prices where actually very comparable to the others that I interviewed. He called to follow up with me at home and he seemed generally concerned. And his work is phenomenal!!!

I would recommend Dr. Michael Bogdan in Southlake. I am extremely happy with my results. He is one of the few, if not only, plastic surgeon in the area trained in closed rhinoplasties. This means there are no scars on the outside of your nose! All the work is done on the inside.
Good luck!

I also recommend Dr. Mark E. Mason in Southlake. www.southlakeplasticsurgery.com
His staff is wonderful, he is so personable, professional, etc...I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. I did not have a rhinosplasty done by him -- but what I had done I am thrilled with. His pricing is very competitive, he is an excellent physician and he really achieves a very natural look -- which is what I was after. Obviously, I highly recommend him. I agree with the other responses...talk to other doctors, find the one that you feel confident about. Best of luck to you!

I'm very pleased with the work of Dr. Hamas at ###-###-#### in Dallas (off Walnut Hill, if I remember correctly). I went to him after a recommendation from a friend who had also used him. He is an exceptional doctor and is very thorough in his consultations. I recommend doing some research online and going to multiple consultations. You not only need to feel confident in their work but also comfortable with them. Good luck!

Dr. Stagnone - Dallas
One of the best in the Metroplex and is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (see more at the bottom).

He did a Rhinoplasty AND a Brest Augmentation for me at the same time.

I LOVE MY NOSE!!! I had little bruising under the eyes due to the vitamins he reccomended me to get for bruising. The scar is very hard to see and he did exactly what I wanted.

About Him:

Dr. Stagnone graduated Phi Beta Kappa at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque as well as Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical society that comprises the top 10% of medical students. Following prerequisite training in General Surgery at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center, he completed training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Southern Illinois University. There he trained under Dr. Elvin Zook, chairman of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Stagnone is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and The Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He was also a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons.

I would recommend you do a thourough internet search and pick several good choices, and then go talk to each one. I had some nose surgery years ago when I lived in Missouri, and i went and saw 3 different doctor's who told me three different things. You really want to take this choice seriously and do some searching first. Just becuz a doctor is nice doesn't mean he does good work. My mom used to work in Surgery at Harris Methododist Southwest in Fort Worth, and always thought Dr. Robert Anderson did really good work. But didn't think he was the nicest guy. So it just depends what your looking for. But take your time. Good Luck!
