Reusing Bottles?
My almost 1 year old is rarely getting a bottle anymore (maybe once or twice a month), so I've been putting away all the bottles and things to get more room on the counter. My son is breastfed, and only got bottles when I worked or when he was with grandma for an afternoon, at the most he had maybe 3-4 bottles a week for a few months. Are bottles and nipples reusable or should I just throw them out? There are not worn at all, some were hardly ever used. Same for pacis, he never really took them so we have a bunch that have hardly been used. Is it safe to store them and then boil/sterilize them for the next baby (assuming there is one someday)?

Definitely save the bottles, but throw out the nipples and get new one's for the next child to use them. I'd toss the paci's also.

Some of mine are fine - I've reused them...some of them, the nipples got funky (?)...If the little room they take up is not an issue, I'd save them and see - worst that could happen is you throw them away later and buy new ones.

Noooo! Dont throw those out! Of course you can use them again. You will obviously want to sterilize them again, but they will be fine.

We used the same bottles and nipples for all 7 grandkids.
Soap works or your baby would be getting all the germs from the bottle before it was washed. The soap kills any bacteria and removes the milk residue every time you clean it well.

Don't throw them out. They are definitely reusable once sterilized. My daughter had a few bottles left over from when her 8yo was a baby and she used them this past year with her current baby. She did have to buy new nipples.
Most thrift stores will not take nipples or pacifiers but they will take bottles.
I think a resale shop may take both bottles and nipples. They are easily sterilized by washing them in the dishwasher.

You can save them if you want but throw the nipples away. I personally didnt save bottles, pacis and nipples once my kids were able to use a cup. Bottles, nipples and pacis are cheap now days. And besides, I always got new ones at my baby showers.

Sure! Run them through the dishwasher and save them!
Just be sure to check the nipples when you dig them out one day--those are the only thing that might "deteriorate" I think.
