Does anyone know where I can find (if they exist) reusable water bottles that are shaped exactly like the disposable ones you buy? I am looking for the same twist off cap, same size spout, etc? I am not picky about the material as long as it is BPA free! Are they out there??? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I always just use the disposable ones and refill them myself. When it starts to get too worn out, I buy a new one.

Klean Kanteens are great - they are steel, have a sport top and come in many sizes. We have sippy cup sized ones for the kids and have traded out the sippy tops for sport tops as they could use them. We use our big ones all the time too. http://www.kleankanteen.com/ or http://www.reuseit.com/

Also, if you do refill the plastic ones, note that the plastic will start to leach into your water since they are made for one use only and begin to decompose as they are used longer. It's not the best option - it's worth the money and your health to buy a good reusable bottle and stop buying the plastic water bottles.

Are you looking for a stainless steel one? The Sigg stainless steel water bottles are not exactly the same shape an size as the disposable water bottles but they do fit into the holders on the sides of my kids' backpacks. And they do have caps that you can twist off or pull up to drink. I bought mine at Whole Foods Market but I bet you can get them for even less on amazon.com.

Also, target has a variety of BPA-free plastic water bottles that they are selling. I've bought one for my husband that probably holds 32-oz. and it seems to be holding up well. They do have a couple of different kinds that you can choose from.

Hope this helps.

I have read that it is a bad idea to re-use disposable water bottles. Even with re-useable plastic bottles, I worry about what is leeching into the water.

After much frustration with bottles lying all over my house, we finally converted to stainless steel bottles (unique color for each family member) and a water filter.

As it turns out, it's nice to drink from cool stainless steel!

Good luck.

PS: Watch out for aluminum bottles that look like stainless steel - I won't use aluminum.
