Return Unopened Formula to Target

Hi ladies,

My baby was on similac and recently she was switched to organic earth best formula. Last month I bought 7 cans of similac and unfortunately I lost the receipt. Will Target take my similac back without a receipt ( I paid cash).

Thanks for your input:)

What can I do next?

I have no idea if target will let you return your Similac, however I have a child in my home daycare that uses Similac Advance and I would be willing to buy a couple cans from you to avoid them being thrown away. That is of course if you are in the vicinity of Flower Mound and if it is "Similac Advance".

Ugh, PLEASE don't be the arsehole who goes up to a customer service rep making around minimum wage & acts like they did something wrong when they didn't. Please don't be the person that automatically acts like they are owed something, even though they were shortsighted & got rid of the receipt. I'm surprised that someone suggested you do that, personally. You don't seem like that type of person, fortunately. Just go in, & be nice. You get more bees with honey :-)

Oh please don't walk in with an attitude like one poster suggests! It's not Target's fault that you don't need this formula anymore. Their customer service rep certainly didn't do anything wrong and doesn't deserve to be treated like that.

I've always had luck getting a store credit when I return something without a receipt. And like Diana says, speaking nicely and explaining your situation will work in your favor. And if it doesn't work, you can donate the formula to a needy family.

I work in customer service at wal-mart. Here are the rules we follow when returning any sort of baby food (Formula included):

With a receipt we are allowed to do the return but the items must be claims out and thrown away

Without a receipt we are not allowed to do the return. Period.

Not likely. Even if you had a receipt they will most likely say no. Call them and ask the customer service person.

Items that are WIC related just do not get refunded or credited, money cannot be given on them in any way. The stores can loose their contracts with the State if the do this. Even if the person has a receipt it does not mean they purchased the item. It means they have a receipt that shows someone did. Formula, milk, etc...is just one of those things.

They may have a more lenient police in your area so call, it will not hurt to ask and may save you gasoline and time.

I don't think they will take it back. Honestly, without a receipt, they will often find your sale by swiping your credit card that you used when you paid. But since you didn't use a credit card, they will likely NOT take it back. I mean, from their point of view, you could have bought it at Walmart for $5 and then tried returning it to them for $7. Good luck, but doubtful they'll take it.

Yes, Target will accept returns with no receipt. Been there, returned that. Just be yourself, ask and you shall receive.

Worse case scenario, you can donate the formula to a food pantry.

Target does accept most returns without a receipt. I've returned something without a receipt and was given a store credit.

I have a Target Master Card which I use only at Target. They also have a Target Debit Card. When you use either one you get 5% off of your purchase and they can always access the original purchase.
