Hi moms. Here I am again turning to my favorite people for ideas. My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend and we are looking for a nice restaurant to go to. Something different as we always seem to go to the same 3 places. We are looking for something nice with good food and prices . We would like somewhere with a piano bar if possible. Quiet but not dull. Am I asking to much :) We live in the western suburbs (Downers Grove area) Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

thanks

I always like Sullivans in Naperville. They have a jazz trio on weekend.
Can be pricey, just order smart. Their portions are huge. Get the appetizers.

There's a fun hibatchi place on 75th - It starts with an A...very reasonable. Francesca's in Naperville is good and also pretty reasonable...

Costas in Oakbrook looks interesting and got good reviews. Looks like they have a piano right in the middle of the dining room!! How fun! I may need to check this place out!

Try Michaelangelo's: www.michelangelosrestaurant.com

A nice, romantic Italian restaurant with a piano & a tree in the middle of the room. My husband & I loved it!

Oops - just noticed you don't live in Houston!

How about Luigi's House in Aurora? http://www.portillos.com/luigis/

There is a piano bar there too. The food is pretty good. The restaurant is owned and operated by the people who own Portillo's. The prices are very reasonable too.

I also like the White Chocolate Grill in Naperville. It is a little more upscale than Luigi's House, but the prices are good. The menu is a little different than what I usually eat (prime rib sandwiches!), and the food is delicious. No piano bar, but you can go to the Luigi's House piano bar afterwards since it is not too far away.

Happy anniversary!
