Hi Ladies!

Ya'll are an awesome source for my question! This Sunday (the 6th) my family will get together for brunch (around 11 am) after my brother finishes an Olympic distance triathalon that is being held in Las Colinas. None of us are familiar with the area, so we need some help finding a really yummy place to eat in Las Colinas or a decent drive from there (say Coppell, Irving or South Lewisville maybe?). And here's the important info: 1) we are foodies!!! So PUH-lease DO NOT recommend a chain restaurant. We love locally owned stuff that serves great quality food! and 2) we need BIG portions since at least one of us will be starving after their race - well the drive down could make me terribly hungry! :) Thanks SOOO much for your recommendations on this. I REALLY appreciate it!!!

What can I do next?

Ham and Eggs in Lewisville. We go there often. They serve very large portions of food. The Pancakes and biscuits are huge. As hungry as you will be, you most likely will be taking home left overs! The very first time I went, I saw a biscuit on someones table and thought it was a cake. The prices are fair too. And the Dallas cowboys are often spotted eating there!

IFratelli's on 635 and MacArthur has a wonderful sunday Brunch. They have all the wonderful specialty pastas,Pizza's, and an Omlette Station. They are really Good. I wish we lived closer, so we could go more often! Blue Mesa Grill also has a wonderful Sunday Brunch, I'm fairly sure they have a Las Colinas Location also. THey have a website you could check.

Cool River, Macarthur at Highway 114, technically just south of the Las Colinas neighborhood. That place is always packed!

I know it's not close, but have y'all been to Chef Point Cafe on Watauga Road in NRH?? It's been featured on Paula Deen's show as well as Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It's in a GAS STATION!

And OMG is it the best!!! My husband and I are hooked. They have a website. Get there early. The lobster bisque is amazing!

I live in Irving (which IS Las Colonas btw, it's stupid but they just call N Irving Las Colinas....it's not actually it's own city) & happen to be a goodie as well. I'll give you a Run down on my family's favs for brunch.

There's Le Peep off oconnor & 114, it's strictly bfast, brunch & lunch.
Then in Irving we have two contenders: Potz, off pioneer & Irving blvd which has this AMAZING deep fried French toast that is totally worth the calories, they also have things like pork chop bfasts which my hubs is a fan of.
& Joe's....we go here at least once a week & the waitresses know my three girls names by heart. Pretty much EVERYTHING there is great.

& if your looking to spend a little more but want absolutely fantastic food, go to The RANCH off MacArthur & 114. It's about $30 a plate for their buffet but they have these amazing foods like honey glazed salmon & wild boar, steaks fresh off the cows on the backyard & the most fantastic quail.... Just look up their website. I've only been to their brunch on mothers & fathers day so I'm not 100% they have it all the time but it's worth looking into. We're going again next weekend for fathers day haha

The Four Seasons in Las Colinas. They have several restaurant options, depending on the price range & atmosphere you are seeking.

Via Real in Las Colinas is nice and has a unique menu. You will need to call and make sure they do brunch. They are close to the 4 Season's off MacArthur.
