I don't know if you are ONLY wanting to rent or would consider buying, but if you can swing it, it is a GREAT time to buy. Especially in Providence Village and Savannah. Those are two communities off 380. There are lots of foreclosures out here right now. We bought a house that was built 2 yers ago for $180K for $115K. This is a great place for kids-huge resort tyle pools with water slides, spash fountains, parks everywhere. Just thought I'd let you know in case it is an option. There are severl for lease signs out here too.

My husband and I own a Real Estate/Mortgage company and our main focus is assisting people who need to sell or refinance their home to avoid foreclosure. Many times, we are able to help them find a rental house that is nicer than the one they own and can no longer afford for less than their mortgage payment! Unfortunately, Collin county has many people in that situation. That being said, there are many rental houses in Collin, depending on you preference of age, sq. footage, school district, lease price/month, etc.

When we were looking to rent we used www.realtor.com. Turned out, though, that we were able to buy, getting an FHA loan with only 3% down & paying monthly about as much as rent would have been.
