Rental Cribs
I am wondering if anyone has ever rented a crib or other children's equipment in Florida. We are looking for the Ft. Myer's/Cape Coral area.

When we traveled with a nine month old and a two year old, we asked the hotel to provide cribs. If you reserve them far enough in advance it works great. Once we got real "cribs" (plastic and squeaky, but cribs) and once we got two pack-n-plays. No charge!

We have rented cribs in the St. Petersburg area before with great success. We looked online and talked to the managers of the rental stores to find out what the cribs were like. They also were able to deliver the cribs on the day we arrived and were there before we got to the house and they also picked them up. I would suggest bringing a mattress pad and sheets from home but otherwise we had no problems. But the usin the internet was very helpful for us.

I'm sure whether this will be helpful or not but you could always purchase a pack and play for travel. We just bought one for our newborn to take along on upcoming trips to Colorado and Scotland. I would be uneasy about renting a crib because of germs and the inconvenience of assembling/unassembling it. Both my sisters in law have been traveling with theirs for years.

I just recently visited my parents in Fort Meyers/Naples area and they rented a crib for my daughter. I believe this place is in Naples but they may be able to refer someone. The company is called Tiny Tikes. Their phone number is ###-###-####.
Good Luck.
