Removing Strong Adhesive Squares from a Wall
What can I use to remove wooden letters that are attached with very strong adhesive squares to a wall? I'm trying to get them off with minimal damage to the wall if possible. Does anyone know of something I can try? I'm going to repaint my daughters room so I need them to come off.

No guarantees the wall won't have stains after...but try GOO GONE found at Target, Walmart and most hardware stores. It's great on getting rid of adhesives, glue and anything sticky.

Hi S., I just moved out of an apartment and was faced with the same problem. I used a spatula to get underneath of the square to get as much off as would come off that way, then GooGone to get the sticky residue. Worked well. :)

Rubbing alcohol takes most adhesives off.

It sounds like the product that several recommend is a reliable solution to your problem. But if you don't happen to be going out or just want to try to get the adhesive off with something around the house, try baby oil, lamp oil, Skin So Soft, or even petroleum jelly (like Vaseline). Most of these adhesives are petroleum based and will dissolve in another petroleum product. I just usually grab whatever is handiest. The other day I even used Vaseline lip therapy.
