I have red crayon marks in several places on my carpeting. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove them? I have used just regular carpet spot cleaners and those have faded the marks but they are still there. My carpet is a light gray so the crayon is kinda obvious!
I recently had nailpolish on my carpet (entire bottle of RED) and also permanent marker (blue) on the carpet and both of them came out by using water to soak the area and then hairspray sprayed generously all over before scrubbing. It was a MIRACLE! Maybe this will work for crayon too?
Rubbing alcohol will remove the crayon but won't fade your carpet. Just put some on a cotton ball and rub it over the stain.
WD40. The miracle product. It removed playdough from my carpet. (berber) Spray on the crayon and wait a few minutes and scrape with a card and wipe off. It may take more than one application. Good luck.

Nobody suggested this, but I used a Mr Clean eraser and that got it out. It depends on the type of carpet you have, but that eraser gets crayon, pencil, marker, and just about anything else off or out of just about anything. Hope this helps.

I think someone else also suggested WD40. Spray some on a rag/cloth and test to make sure that it doesn't have an effect on your carpet. Sol-u-Mel works well, too.
Clean spots on your carpet with 1 1/2 tsp of Tough & Tender and 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel blended in a 24 oz spray bottle filled with water. If the spot is greasy, try l oz of MelaMagic combined with 7-8 oz of water. This really works you can get the products at www.thewhycircle.com/mariewolters
Try a paper towel & low temp iron. Put the towel on the spot, and slowly run the iron back & forth over it. The paper towel should grab the wax out of the carpet while the iron melts it (same goes for melted candle wax).
This worked for candle in the carpet hey there both wax. take a paper towel lay it over the spot then a paper sack and then iron on top of the sack and the paper towel soaked up the wax. Good luck! like i said worked for spilled candle wax
Try putting a white towel (or other white cloth you aren't fond of) over the area and ironing on a low heat. The crayon should melt into the towel. Repeat on a clean area of the towel until it is all up.
