Removal of Red Wine from Carpet

Use White Wine then clean the carpet. This may have to be done right after the spill but it does work.

I see you got it out! Just wanted to offer that using a diaper to absorb any stain when it first happens helps tremendously!

I had red wine in my carpet for 3 months and nothing worked. I found this stuff called tek ( it think that is how it was spelt). It is in a white bottle with a red spot on the front with black graphics.they sell it al meijer. I swer by this stuff it took it out completely and did not discolor the carpet. Good luck !

Yes! I have solution! Go to Lowes or Menards (I don't think Home Depot carries anymore)...oh, Sears has it too...
Buy product called Capture. Buy the kit. It comes in a box. First you spray on a "pre-mist" then you sprinkle on the powder and "brush" it in, and let it dry , it says an hour, but, I'd let dry overnight.. then, vaccuum it up...
It got red wine out of white sofa for friend of mine! And, I use on ALL kinds of stains! wine, red juice, vomit, cat pee, soda, etc.. you name it! this stuff is awesome!

If you do it once, and it doesn't get it all, just repeat next night.... it will not harm carpet at all!

You can try Spot Shot or Folex. Both work pretty well. You can buy them at Target.
I also know some people have used peroxide. But I never personally have.

I've never had to get out wine but I use Tech and so far it has gotten up everything. I've seen it at Ace, Menards, places like that.

I work at a laundromat. Look for something called wine away or try some white vinager. Either one might work.

I broke a whole bottle of red wine on our then new beige carpet. The Scotchgard owner's manual and carpet care guide said to first blot the stain, use a solution of white vinegar and water to neutralize the smell then use a mixture of water and dish or laundry detergent. I used water and OxyClean instead. I used a spray bottle to apply the solutions and let each sit for about 20 minutes. Lastly, I used our mini carpet cleaner (Bissel) to suck up the solution. I repeated several times, but it did bring the carpet back to new. Maybe you could visit www.scotchgard.com for more info -- even if your carpet is not Scotchgarded.

Try pouring clubsoda on it and dab it up. I know it gets it out of clothes
