My children decided to play with some slime that my parents so nicely gave them for a present and got it all over the carpet. I tried Resolve powder and that doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Try "Goo Gone". You can get it at all grocery stores.

If it was something slimmy and then has hardend try putting a piece of paper over the carpet with the stain and then put a hot iron on the paper. I know this works for wax from candles, the iron will melt the goo and it will stick to the paper lifting it out of the carpet. Good luck hope it works, and yell at your parents! :)

The best product out there for goo, gum, permanent marker and any stain is Sol-U-Mel from Melaleuca - it gets out everything! If you know anyone who's a customer with Melaleuca I would talk to them.

My granddaughter got about a 2 in. long by 1 in. wide spot of red slime on my beige carpet and I tried everything to get it off. (It had hardened) Nothing worked. I took an exacto knife and sliced just under the slime and as close to the carpet surface as I could and then used a scissors to cut the remaining tiny spots out. It was the only thing that worked. Because I cut so close to the surface, you can't even tell.

Spot Shot or Tech? My professional carpet cleaners advised me to never use Resolve so maybe something else will work. Good luck.
