Remodel

We are looking to remodel our 3rd car garage into livable space- I found a few contractors listed on Mamasource, and contacted them.
Does any one else know of a dependable, trustworthy contractor?
I want to get a few different estimates done, then compare and choose who I want.
Thanks in advance for your help!

What can I do next?

Call joe with cavins drywall @ ###-###-####, they do not advertise, they work by referral only and has been in business since 1983. You might be surprised by the price but you will not be disappointed with the quality of work that will be done.

Hello-
The only contractor we have used is Badger Building and they are small but very trustworthy, honest and good.

Once you find a contractor you should definitely check out www.buildproof.com. It is free for homeowners to join and if you let them facilitate the transaction between you and your contractor, your money is safe from scam artist contracting companies. Through BuildProof, your contractor DOES NOT GET PAID until you are satisfied with the job. Check it out!!
Good luck and best wishes!

I do! Angelo Pestrivas is a great contractor. He is not only a good contractor but a genuine person. His number is ###-###-####. His company name is Pestrivas construction. Good luck, he is a very honest businessman.

Hi T., my husband is a superintendant for a home builder here and he does the type of work you are looking to do on the side. His name is Rick ###-###-####. Give him a call and he can get an estimate for you. I hope your remodel goes well!!

I work for our family remodeling and roofing company. They did my remodel in 2005 and it looks great! The website is www.gryphonaz.com if you would like to see what we are about (licensed, bonded, and insured). We could give you a free estimate, if you would like to call us at ###-###-#### - Gryphon Companies, Inc. Or you could e-mail me at ____@____.com.

T.,

We've unfortunately had to shop for contractors for some repair work this winter (and it was a list of several different businesses/specialties that we required, unfortunately none of them I think did stuff like renovations as such..) but I will tell you that kudzu.com and the AZ Registrar of Contractors and the Arizona Better Business Bureau's website were invaluable in finding a roofer, waterproofer, carpet guy and plumber. Kudzu is a great starting point and you have people that log in and review the contractor. I highly recommend them.

There was one guy I talked to that I had found on Kudzu that was really nice and quickly returned my calls and answered my questions...the business name was Providence Renovation and the owner's name was Dan. http://www.providenceaz.com/ is their website. We didn't wind up using him because our house had bigger problems that we needed a totally different kind of contractor for and wound up doing a lot of the interior work ourselves, but I think this guy knows what he's talking about at least. I'd say worth a phone call. What have you got to lose?
