They stopped making these in 2004, so I'm looking for anything similar. (Kinder eggs are illegal in the US. Seriously! Those would have been perfect.) Any ideas where I can find something similar? I've searched forever online with no luck.

Seriously, I have never heard of these. I did a little looking for you--no luck. Apparently they were originally made with plastic toys in the center--choking hazard, so re-introduced with candies in the center. But THEN they were discontinued. :(

I've never heard of the Wonderball. I do remember Kinder Eggs. When I would go on vacation to Germany I would bring them back as souvenirs for all the kids in my family. I wonder if you could order them directly from the manufacturer and have them shipped direct?

My boys loved Kinder Eggs when we lived in London. I recently had a friend that tried to bring them back from Austria to his kids and they were taken at the Airport and he was told he wasn't allowed to bring them in the US :(
I was told kindereggs are banned because of the choking hazard(small toys in food), but I do see them online occasionally.
Why are Kinder Eggs not legal in the US?
I've gotten them from Europe.

The easter bunny used to put the wonderballs in my kids basket. I wondered what happened to them. I dont remember them having toys inside though, only the candy.
