A., Are you taking anything with Sulpha in it? That is the allergic reaction I had to sulpha. Sulpha can be a treatment for "pink eye" and in many topical ointments.

I think I know exactly what you are talking about. They are not raised but very tiny. I went to the dermatologist about the one on the bridge of my nose between my eyes. They are tiny blood vessels that break. He said many people have them all over their body. Unfortunately, it is an age thing as we get older. I am 39 and noticed my first one at 34/35. They will not go away. But he did say that laser treatment will erase them. Please do not mess with them like I did. They will bleed continually for 5 min. Good Luck!!!

No worries. They are called cherry popenoma; it's just a change in your skin...which is related to age. ;-( I've had them for years. Some of mine were above the skin and I got those lanced off just because they were right at my shorts leg line. The others just look like someone took a red pen and put dots on me! No biggie, they're not dangerous. Enjoy your new mommyhood!

If the spots are on you the mommy I would try hydrocorizone creram for a week and if they don't go away or get bigger then go see your doctor

sounds like a sun allergy. my step mom gets that same thing all over if she is overexposed to the sun. not a sunburn but an allergic reaction to the sun. benedryl clears it up though.

I developed red spots during my first pregnancy, and I seemed to get one or more with the other two pregnancies as well, as well as a few more over the years not being pregnant! I went to a dermatologist when I first noticed and she said they were nothing to worry about. It looks like someone made a red dot using a very red magic marker -- like a pin drop. Maybe slightly raised. I have a handful all over. All in spots covered (usually!). My son had petechia at birth (and every now and then when he gets a virus) but they look totally different. I'm sure you could go on a website and look up a pic of petechia to make sure that's not what they are. But definitely mention to your ob/gyn or dermatologist just to be safe.

I totally agree with the prvs post. Don't mess with rashes and preg. I have worked in dermatology along time and rashes and preg can be of concern. You should see your OB-GYN.

Since you are pregnant I would call your OB office just to make sure it isn't a sign of something. I have heard of other pregnant women getting the spots your are describing, but I can't remember why or what it is. Congrats on the pregnancy! Motherhood is a wonderful thing!

With being pregnant I wouldn't listen to anyones advice and see my doctor. A lot of medications can harm the unborn baby.
Sounds like it may possibly be heat rash. But like I said, don't take any chances and see your doctor about it.
