Recommended Preschools in Oahu

There first thing that would be helpful to know is what area you will be living in? Do you have any preference for learning style, there is a great Montessori school in Honolulu. What can you afford? Hawaii is beautiful and an amazing place to call home but there is a price to pay, literally. Everything is more expensive in Hawaii, add at least 20%. There are great Childcare options at different price ranges. There are subsidy programs available from the state of Hawaii to assis families with the expense of preschool. Also there is a program military members may qualify for through NACCRA.
Many of the more popular preschools may have waiting list so it might be worth applying and being put on the waiting list.

KCAA. depends where you are going to live but you can start there because they are all over the island. :)

You need to research the area you will be living in....
There are so many preschools island wide on "Oahu"... depending on where you will be living.
ALSO, you will need to actually visit the site/talk with them, and check it out... once you know what area you will be in. Tuition costs vary too. And schedules.

What part of Oahu are you moving to? Well I live on the windward side (Kailua) and my daughter went to Kailua Baptist preschool and my son currently attends there. Its a great preschool. Hours are from 8:30a-11:30a for partime or you can go until 2:30p. They offer 2 day, 3 day and 5 day for 3 year olds. Teacher ratio is 1:11 with an assistant, so its really like 1:6. They use the creative curriculum.They do 3 really cute music performances a year. Other good preschools in the area are Kailua Methodist, Sunshine School, and St. Anthony's. Others that I don't know to much about or care for are Atherton (on Oneawa st) and the Caring Place.

Make sure you call these places asap because every preschool here has a wait list (some way longer than others).

I forgot to add Trinity Christian School is another good one.

I'm not sure where you'll be living, but my 2-yr old just started a Montessori school yesterday. It's in the Salt Lake area and called St. Philomena. They have part time hrs in addition to "school day" and "full day".
