Recommendations for Sunscreen for Toddler with Eczema
My 16 month old has eczema (not too severe, but still irritating) It seems to flare up when we use sunscreen on him. Does anybody have a recommendation for a sunscreen that is not too irritable that they use on their own kids with eczema?
(We had been using baby aveeno, but wuold like something else now)

So What Happened?™
Thanks for all of the help! We live in New Mexico so we try to stay in the shade (but there is not a lot of shade in our dry climate) or put him in skin covering clothes (he still gets really hot.) I did get some of the Badger sunscreen and will try that out, if that does not work I will try the Neutrogena.
@JF I did not know that Vanicream made a sunscreen! We use the regular vanicream and really like it so I am glad to know they make a sunscreen too!

Melaleuca's Sun Shade lotion and spray. It has less toxins than a lot of others and it is has broad spectrum protection (some just protect against some rays).

Actually, I find that sun exposure works great for keeping the eczema at bay. I haven't put any sunscreen on my kids this summer (we spent two weeks in Idaho and Utah with LOTS of sunshine) and we just keep to small amounts of sun time interspersed with shade time. Hats and clothes are the way to go. No yucky sunscreen and plenty of healthy vitamin D.

My two year old has sensitive skin and eczema and things with dyes/perfumes, etc can cause an outbreak in him. Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby (in the white & pink bottle) is the only thing I have found so far that doesn't cause him to break out.

Add cod liver oil to his diet (AND yours if you're nursing) to help with the skin issues. Use coconut oil topically for a little sun protection, but if sunscreen irritates, don't use it. Cover him with a good hat and clothes.

Try "Vanicream" sunscreen. I recently found it at Target. I have also found it at Walgreens occassionally. If you ask the pharmacist at Walgreens for any of the Vanicream lotions, shampoos, soaps, sunscreens or other products, they will happily order it for you and you can pick it up there so you don't pay shipping costs. You can also order online directly from "Vanicream". I have horrible eczema and this was recommended to me by my dermatoligist at Mayo clinic. I hope you give it a try and like it. :-)
