Recommendations for Eye-liner

Hi,
I like Almay intense eye color eyeliner( different shades for your eye color)...even compared to the bare escentuals which is more expensive, it works and looks great! The drawback though is that it;s unnatural ingredients are damaging long-term.

I have used good old Cover Girl for the last 15 years and am always satisfied with it. I do use other brands but this is my standard for every day. An added bonus is the price for sure!!

Lancome has great pencils and colors. They are my favorite and I have alot of eyeliner pencils I use from various counters such as Clinque, Este, etc. I do not put it on the tear line though and that may be your problem because of the moisture of the eyes. I put on under neath the bottom eye lashes and the top of my upper lashes and it stays on all night and day.

I use Mary Kay. I know a lot of people turn thier nose up to Mary Kay and I did too, but I have found this to be a great product.

Hi A. - BeautiControl has a couple different eye liner pencils ... the Eye Defining Pencil, comes in 9 shades - soft application and long wearing. Next is the Color Freeze Eye Liner - 3 shades - transfer and fade resistant. Also, BC just introduced a liquid eye liner in 3 shades!!!

A.: It is so funny you wrote this, because I had the same problem with this recently. I discovered that as far as actual "pencil" eyeliners go, getting back to the basics is the best thing you can do. An ACTUAL pencil. I bought the benefit one, and it works. Another really pro trick that I learned for makeup longevity is primer, primer, primer!!! Makeup primer not only allows your face to provide a flawless canvas for application, but they also make your makeup stay in place! I would recommend the smashbox pro primer, their original one is the best. Sephora carries it, and also online.

I really like the Maybelline "twist up" style eyeliner pencil. It is may not be a department store name brand product, but that also means it is very affordable! This liner is easy to apply, does not smudge unless you rub your eyes or have a good cry, but it still washes off easily. Looks like they have three different types now...check out their website.

Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners are great. They glide on really smooth and you can smudge them for about 30 seconds before they dry and become water proof. They come in great colors too!

I have tried many eye lines myself and have always gone back to Clinique. Although recently I have been using Almay (purple because I have brown eyes) but it runs by day end, I just need to get my little one up to taking trips and we can go to Sephora! Happy hunting.

I also had this problem and I bought a cheap one at walmart thought what the heck couldn't be an worse then the more expensive ones. marykate and ashley brand. Its a turn up kind so you don't have to sharpen it. It has worked for me. Good luck.

I personally love the Benefit eyeliner, its a little pricy but seems to work the best and stays on for a long time.

ok I have tried them all, high end to low end, but no kidding, my favorite is Avon's Glimmer sticks. They go on so well and last all day! I love them. Best of all you can get them from like $2.99 So I stock up when my avon lady tells me they are on sale. My favorite color is Cosmic Brown, it is dark enough without being black. They make great lipliners too, my fav on that is Simply Spice, it is a neutral and works under any lip stick or gloss I have tried.

Clarins makes a fantastic eyeliner that goes on very creamy and smooth but is waterproof. I love it. You can buy it at Sephora.

I would recommend putting the eyeliner just below that tear line. It's actually dangerous to put it on there. I LOVE Origin's eyeliner and it's less chemical as far as make up goes. Try them. :)

Lancome water proof eyeliner. its self sharpening too. i dont have eyelashes due to a disorder that i have so i use that on my eyes and as close to the eyeball i can get (right where eyelashes would grow) and it doesnt smude (unless im crying and i wipe/itch my eyes really hard). i love it :)

I am a mother of 2 and also having a busy life. As I've been working 2 jobs, I've been looking for make-up to get all thru the day & night. I've tried so many brands and I discovered Maybelline unstoppable eyeliner. I got it from from Walgreens. I swear, I have to take it out after I got home.
Try it, it works for me.

I am a bit biased since I am a Mary Kay consultant (my www.marykay.com/skmoore) but I love Mary Kay eyeliner. I haven't had trouble with it smearing and it stays put all day.

I've also run into the same problem, I've tried dozens...
The latest one that has worked out pretty well for me is the line from MaryKay, so if you know anyone from MaryKay, try to get a catalog, there's a pretty good selection of colors.
It's the one line that I can wear all day, and not worry too much about smudging off.

I have also had problems with eye liner because I wear hard contact lenses and my eyes are so sensitive, so I have tried just about everything out there. I can't wear liquid because it irritates my eyes too much. I like to wear either black or brown & on my tear line & inner lids but sometimes I wear it outside as well. The ones that have worked well for me are the MAC pencil (regular line) and the Estee Lauder Pencil Duo line (comes in a blue plastic roll-up which I love so you don't have to sharpen and black stayes on me all day.

I love my Bobbie Brown eyepencils. I have a brown and a grey and they both work great and stay on well for me.

You might try one of them when you are out shopping and see if you like it before committing to it since it is a more expensive product.

Bobbie Brown is only in the nicer department stores too so not as easily available although I know you can oder their products online from Nordstrom.com.

I really like the eye-liner Arbonne offers. I have always had a problem with eyeliners running and smearing, but not anymore.

I have used the Clinique eyeliner for a long time now. It stays on really well and doesn't bleed at all.
