I am so tired of the same old stuff that's minutes from my home. I live around Provena Mercy hospital on Highland st. I moved to Aurora from the city so still have alot of exploring to do.
Can anyone recommend their favorite places to eat around here? I have a few favorite places so far but so tired of the same stuff. We don't eat out often but would like to try places that are kid friendly ( have a toddler) and great food. WE also have like a few menus of places that deliver.
My favorite places so far are EAst China Inn in North Aurora, Munoz Taqueria,Macianos, Bc Sandwiches and jimmy johns. I would love to find some places that have good chicken gyro / greek food, or good chicken wings. ( tried buffalo wings and didn't care for them ) Or any other food or restaurants healthy places are always good too, lol.... Places around my area would be great to either pick up or that delivers. Thanks

What can I do next?

Lisa,

We have lived very close to where you are for 15 years. I think the best gyros are at Westside Gyros on Illinois and Elmwood. We also love Papa Bear which is on Farnsworth across from the outlet mall. You can get breakfast delivered by Upper Crust over on Randall. (We like the breakfast pizza). If you like crab. Go to Mike & Denise's on Saturday night for all you can eat crab. They are on Farnsworth south of the tollway. Papa Savario's on Orchard has good delivery you can get pasta or sandwiches as well as pizza. Murphy's on Lake Street (in northgate mall by Carson's) is also a good restaurant. They have great prime rib on Saturday's.

mothers pancake house on galena has great breakfasts and lunches. it is a family-friendly place, as is colonial. you could definitely try harners in north aurora. for take out, spring for some popeyes friend chicken in north aurora(watch for the coupons in the paper) tommy o's in north aurora, by east china inn, used to be good. we haven't been there in a long time. patrick's on galena was always pretty good too. we don't eat out a ton, but have lived in the area over 20 years!

LaCabana is the best mexican place in aurora. Over on i think river street. it is literally right in front of the river. great for take out or eat in. Domo 77 is great if you like the japanese steak place where they cook it in front of you. Georges in montgomery is the best place for breakfast. they are all family owned places. we love them. if you want corporate places there is a famous daves, tgi fridays, chili's and olive garden, red robin and giordanno's all new over on 34 in oswego.
