Recommend a Good Ob/place to Have a Baby

We're expecting baby #3. We've been down here a year only and I dont have an OB.

So my questions are:

Which is the best place to give birth: WakeMed? Rex? any place else? We live in Northeast Raleigh (just FYI).

Once you state which you think is best, what doctor do you recommend that is affiliated with that hospital/birthing center?

We just found out Saturday via an HPT and we're 11-1/2 weeks alo to get my butt in gear!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

So far.. I scheduled an appointment with Blue Ridge OBGYN.. they have 2 locations.. one at Rex & the other in N. Raleigh kinda near me.. so we chose them and they deliver at Rex.. hopefully I'll like them! :)

Raleigh has some very nice birthing centers, so you will be fine just about anywhere. I had my first baby at Rex and was more than thrilled with the nursing staff and amenities. My second child was born at WakeMed and I will have to say that I had an even better experience there just because of a better OB/Gyn and less stress/anxiety.

My OB is Kamm, McKenzie, Harden, Smith, Bass, Marston, Saacks, & White. I highly recommend them. They have two offices, one that is very near you on Falls Valley (at Falls of Neuse & 540). They only deliver at WakeMed these days, so if you are cool with that, they would be a good match for you.

Be sure to start your prenatal care asap. Best of luck with baby #3!

I liked Dr. Kenneth Fortier ###-###-#### or Dr. Jack Inge at Mid-Carolina Ob/Gyn ###-###-####. I really liked the care my family and I received at Rex when I had my daughter.

I had my little boy at Rex hospital. I loved my stay there and i can say actually loved the hospital food too :). NOt that the food should away where you go, but you actually get to choose what you want to eat and order it. I thought that was cool.

i was there for 4 days. I had an emergency c-section. The nurses were great and we were well taken care of.

I used Centre OB-GYN. They are located next to Rex birthing center so they obviously deliver at Rex. They have 4 lady doctors and 2 men. Dr. Newlin and Dr Collins are my favorites but they are all good.

Wake is good too so whatever ever you choose in Raleigh, you should be fine.

I used Blue Ridge OB/GYN on Durant... I gave birth at 41-1/2 weeks at Rex hospital. Rex was awesome! My nephew said it was better then a hotel! :) It really was wonderful an the staff was incredible!

I used BLue Ridge OB/GYN they have an office @ Rex and just off of Durant Rd. My Cousin and best friend just have delivered babies with them. My 1st one was delivered my their office. I love them.
