Recommend a CLOWN for 2Yr Olds B-day Party

Hello all,

I'm having my son's birthday party at the end of this month. I have found 2 clowns that seem ok. Any suggestions???

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I decided to go with a non-scary clown. They only put a few things on their face and just have a really fun costume. We'll see what happens on March 29th. I am also letting parents know ahead of time that he will be there.

Hi D.,

I had a clown for my son's 1st birthday. They had a great idea. No make-up only glitter, because after 25 years in the business they said the make-up is what frighten the kids. Good Luck! :) P.S. They had a good time. :)

My friend used this clown for her daughter's 1st bithday and I used her for my son 3rd, she is wonderful. April ###-###-####. A little side not, continue serving the lord, he will never let you down. If your marriage should last he will put you two back together again.

No recommendations, just a warning - if your son has never seen a real clown before, I would skip it - kids this age are very afraid of big strangers in funny outfits (think of Santa Claus and all the 2 year olds screaming on his lap!). You don't want to take any risks of traumatizing him on his birthday!

My first thought is no way!! My son was so terrified of clowns that he nightmares for weeks after seeing one on tv. If he hasn't seen a clown in person then I would skip it. It is not uncommon for children to be frightened of clowns, Santa, the Easter Bunny etc. I know you want to have entertainment but at 2 it is risky that the children will not be frightened. I know he is annoying but I had Barney at my daughters birthday because he was familiar to her and the other kids (that was 17 years ago) I didn't realize Barney has been around for so long. It is a risk I would hate to see you spend money if the kids are not going to enjoy it. What about someone that will come to do music and movement kids at that age love music and love to dance. Good luck!!!

Most little kids this age are scared to death of clowns. I would skip it.
