Reccomendations for OB GYN

Afternoon,

I live in the LS/Raymore area and am searching for a OB GYN. No preference on female or male. I am looking for someone who is open minded and not too distant (can communicate well). Anyone really like their OB GYN? My previous doc was funny, personalbe and easy to talk with.

What can I do next?

I have been treated for both pregnancies at Associated Women's Care- I saw Dr. Leverett. While she was nice, she was always so quick and never really took the time to stop and talk with me. Dr. Doan was my discharge doc and was nice, but IMO, lacked a good bedside manner.

Melissa H just recommended her midwife to me, Kim Negrete, and I saw her last week for the first time. She is amazing! She was in the room at exactly 11:30 and spent a good 30 minutes just talking to me and answering my questions. I can't wait until we have another kiddo so I can go back and see her.

Lisa Amsterdam or Eugene Vandenboom - Rockhill Women's Care. They have two office, one in LS and one at St Joe

I would like to reccomend Dr Megan Sneed. She just delivered my first grandbaby and she is amazing! She has a great bedside manner and a dry wit. She also really seems to care about her patients. She has offices in Belton and down by Research Hospital. Give her a call- you will really like her. Oh and her nurse Lacy is great too!

I also recommend Dr. Doan. She delivered both of my kids and I always felt I could ask her anything. Her office also has a nurse practioner, Blanche, that I have seen on occassion, and she is also very nice and easy to talk to.

I love Dr. Mara Galvin at Rockhill Women's Care. She has offices at St. Luke's East and the St. Joseph hospital. She has provided great care, is easy to talk with and ask questions of.

I go to Associated Women's Care in Lee's Summit. Dr. Doan is my primary Doctor, but I've had to see others and they're all super nice. Dr. Cobbinah was especially helpful at the end of my pregnancy, and Dr. Turano, who doesnt do deliveries anymore, was super nice and helpful when I had to have some tests after an abnormal pap.

I go to Dr. Doan. She has delivered my last two and will be delivering my forth, due in June. She really takes time to answer your questions. I have had gestational diabetes the last two pregnancies and she has been very careful to monitor both babies. I see every two weeks and she never seems in a hurry.

I go to Associated Women's Care in Lee's Summit. I think they are wonderful. I like Dr. Doan and Dr. Leverett the most. I highly recommend them. Good Luck!
