Rec. on Yoga on High Studio?
Hi - I'm new to Columbus and I'm 16 weeks pregnant. I thought about taking a prenatal yoga class at "Yoga on High." I've never done yoga before, but I thought it would be a good way to stay somewhat flexible and to meet new people. Anyone have any opinions? Or do you know of a better place in the Columbus area?

I would recommend it. I did yoga before getting pregnant with my second child and then during that pregnancy. It helped alot with the aches and pains and relaxed me. I was often tired and didn't want to schlepp to go to yoga class
so yoga dvds/videos for pregnant moms worked best for me.
After I had my second child, I graduated to pilates which really helped with the tummy area. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and congrats!

I'd highly recommend Yoga on High. I went to some prenatal classes and the instructor was wonderful. They even give you extra/alternative moves to help with any specific aches/pains you're having. Definitely a nice way to relax and focus just on you and the baby. Our little girl made an early arrival so I didn't get to do any of the classes while super preggo, but I was looking forward to it for sure. Best wishes and congrats!

Yes! I took the Yoga on High prenatal yoga class from the time that I was 16 weeks pregnant until the week before I delivered. I really enjoyed the class as a time to relax and share the pregnancy experience with the others who attended. The instructor was fantastic, and I always felt better after attending the class. I appreciated what I learned about what was happening to my body and feeling stretched and centered. I think that I had a lot less discomfort in pregnancy because of the class. Welcome to Columbus and all the best to you and your baby!

I have never taken classes at Yoga on High but, I did take a prenatal yoga with Kelly Quinn. I think recently I've maybe seen her name in the Elizabeth Blackwell (across from Riverside hosp) class listings? She was wonderful and it was a really good experience. Good luck!
