Rainbow in My Room

We don't have the Rainbow in My Room, but we have something similar. It is a Twilight Turtle and it projects stars around the room - it glows blue, green and yellow and is battery operated. My son got it for a gift at the age of either 1 1/2 or two - he still LOVES it 2 years later. It is durable enough that it can stay within his reach so if he wakes up in the middle of the nite he can turn it on with the push of a button and then it times itself out after about an hour I think. Having all boys, I prefer things that are durable....the Rainbow in My Room LOOKS like it would be less durable...but I really cannot say as I have only seen them in ads as well. BUT I can say the Twilight Turtle is very likely the best gift that my son has gotten and I love it as well.

We have a Rainbow in My Room. It is very neat, but the strip that reflects the light has come off a number of times. My daughter is 3 and is not really destructive, she takes pretty good care of her toys. She has moved the device around her room a few times and the strip pops out easily. Now it is lost. It is really neat but not really durable. The Moon In My Room is really neat. We have that in our 8 year old sons room, it hangs on the wall and has a remote.

I've never personally seen the rainbow in my room either, but my daughter just received a ladybug that is the same thing as the twilight turtle. It is very cute, but my daughter is just 4 months old so not really into yet. However, my sons (6 & 4) love it! It comes with a chart to pick out constellations, but I've never sat down to really look for them. It shines the stars all over the room in whichever color you pick. I was so excited when we received it from my sister-in-law because I had been wanting the turtle and I know we will be using this for a very long time.
