Quiet Medela Breastpump?
I have an older Medela Pump in Style that I used for my first. It works... but it is sooo loud and so slow. I recently saw another women pumping and was amazed at how quiet it was, I couldn't even hear it. I asked her if it was a Medela and she said yes, but I'm not sure which model. Do any of you have a very quiet Medela pump that you'd recommend?

I agree with Judy G... the Pump in Style by Medela worked fine for me and I didn't find it loud at all!

I used the medela pump in style advanced. It was very quiet. I am actually trying to sell it so if you are interested in a used one let me know.

I've used Ameda's pump and prefer it.

Hi E.. I use the Medela Pump in Style Advanced (shoulder bag) and although I can hear it pumping, I think it is quiet enought. And it's pretty fast. It is a double pump, and I can pump 5-6 ounces from each breast in less than 10 minutes.

When I pump I zip up the front compartment...it really helps the noise level, just an idea.

i have the medela freestyle & love it. much like you i had the pump in style for my first who is 3 now. i am a ftwm, too, and have a 6 month old. I bought the freestyle from ebay while on maternity leave and love it. it is MUCH quieter, more user-friendly and MUCH lighter. good luck and i hope this helps.

I would highly, highly recommend the fairly new Medela hands-free pump. Not only is it quiet, it comes with little attachments for your bra to make it hands-free, it is battery operated so you don't always have to plug in, and it is tiny, you can carry it in the palm of your hand.
