Questions About Selling Online
I'm considering selling a few items on ebay, but don't want to rack up selling fees for items that don't sell. I'm sure good pictures and descriptions help sell items, but does anyone have any other tips? I see many, many items with no bids and that would just be a huge waste of time. Are there any other methods you've used to sell, like Craigs list?

My friend just informed me that her husband has an eBay store...I guess he sells the stuff for you. If you'd like his number, just message me privately. Good luck!

I have had a lot of success on Craigs List. I think it probably depends on what you're selling, too. If you're looking to make "good money", this probably isn't the best forum. But if you're looking to get rid of stuff and get some cash in return, it's great. About 6 months ago, I listed a lawn mower for $50, a couch for $50, and a bedroom suite for $200. I listed on Saturday morning, all items were gone by Sunday night. (I've listed and sold a lot of other stuff, too, but wanted to give you the example of how quickly some stuff can go when it's priced right)
I'm also a very frequent shopper on Craigs List and have purchased a ton of stuff. Some advice for your listing - include pics no matter what. I don't look at an ad at all if there are no pics. Too many others to choose from. Make sure to include your area of town. There's a place to put this - make sure you do it as people use keyword searches to search for things in their area. List your price and list any problems, and any special pickup issues (like you'll need a pickup not an SUV, will you deliver, etc.). Do not list your private email or phone number in the ad!!!! Good luck!
There is also another website - relatively new to our area here but is really great - www.dentonyardsales.com. Defintely try it, too.

One thing I do is check similar items to see if they are selling. If someone else can't sell the same thing there is no reason I will be able to. Check back though because sometimes certain items sell better at different times of the year.

I have used craiglist several time to buy and to purchase. It is wonderful. whenever i post something i usually get calls rgiht away and the product is gone within a week. Pictures of course helps them see the product. it is local so they can come buy and see the product and you can request cash and not worry about checks. I have also bought things on craigslist. conveinently go and look at the items and purchase them and arrange with the seller a time to come back and get the item since I son't have a truck......works great. You know exactly what you are dealing with.....If someone calls and says they want the item don't remove it until the actually pick it up....sometimes they are interested but too busy to pay and pick it up...next buyer will usually get it.
