Hi Mama's! We are planning an adult trip to Dallas in the next few weeks. We were hoping to catch a concert or something while we are down there. We have a pretty wide range of music likes so its not like we are trying to seek out a particular artist. I was going to search the venue sites to see who was coming but wasn't sure the names of the places that host concerts. Like in Kansas City, there is the Sprint Center. What other sites should we be sure to see?

What can I do next?

AT&T Stadium (where the cowboys play) sometimes host concerts and other events.

About 30 minutes north of Dallas is Allen and they have the Allen Event Center. They do get some artists to perform there, but it is a smaller venue so I can't see getting big headliners, but somewhere to look as well.

I think it's call Pete's if I remember correctly, but it is a dueling piano bar that is fun, and there is also an Comedy Improv in Dallas.

Not a site, but one of the places I miss most about the Dallas area is Village Burger. Best Bleu Cheese Burger I've ever had.

Just go to ticketmaster.com and use "Dallas & vicinity" as the location to search for events by whatever date you will be in Dallas. That will give you EVERYTHING scheduled at ALL venues.

Then, once you decide on an event, you can always contact the venue directly for tickets to avoid all the fees.

You have good responses so far..

I might add Gexa Theater in the Fair Park area. If you go there, get reserved seating and specify covered seating... much of it is on the grass.

The Allen Event Center is very nice but right now is mostly hockey and some Disney on ice types of things. Lil' Wayne was there not too long ago.

American Airlines Center always has some good concerts. I think Elton John is coming soon. We saw one of his shows a while back and he is a fantastic performer.

ATT Stadium (aka Jerry World) does have some music venues. It is a great place to see if you want to tour it and it right there with the Ball Park in Arlington.

Lone Star Park is fun for Horse Racing and the food up in the reserved buffet area is good.

What kind of food do you love? We have some fantastic restaurants with high end steaks that make your mouth water, great Mexican food and Victoria is right about Village Burger Bar... GREAT burgers. There is a Village Burger about 5 minutes from me that calls my name often!

Frisco has Pizza Hit Park. Jimmy Buffet goes there yearly. Also the Ball Park in Frisco is fun but a little early for that right now.
