Question About Amoxicillin for an Ear Infection

I did the same thing one time and I called the pharmacist and they said it was ok. In case things have changed...you might want to call the pharmacy and ask them. They will give you the best answer!

I did the same thing with my 8 mo old's amoxicillin and called the pharmacist, he said as long as it was not exposed to intense heat it would be ok, but i would call the pharmacist to make sure. Just to add a note to this, my daughter developed a rash on her belly and back and the nurse said it is a common side effect of that medication.

Hi, I hope this isn't too late to be useful, but I've done the same thing, called the dr. and they told me not use it after it had warmed up to room temp. You could call the pharmacist, alternatively. Hope that helps!

The pharmacist is usually your best bet on questions like that... but you can also call the drug manufacuturer. Those companies usually have a "Techcnial Affairs Department" that has answers for those types of questions.

The med should be ok. I have done that before myself, and everything was ok. Just tell her to make sure she gives all the med and not to shorten the treatment. That is usually when infections dont clear up completly because of not finishing the med. I work for a family practice clinic so everything should be ok.

I've done the same thing. I was told as long as it wasn't in direct sunlight for a long time, it was ok.

I did the same thing once. I called my Pharmacist and they told me it was fine. As long as it was not hot(like being outside). I used it and it worked just fine.
