Ok so late tonight we re-watched an old 90's movie called Fear, and it made me try and think of movies that were "similar"
I know there was a movie, I think it involved a brother and sister maybe...and maybe a diary? Same age kids, theme was kind of ( and I am not even totally sure at this point if they were siblings or just went way back) they are used to conning people/ using them to get what they want...it is all about "dares" but the guy actually ends up falling for the girl ( maybe) and it ends up kind of sad and tragic....ugh it sounds vague to me too...that is why I am driving myself crazy not being able to come up with the title...sigh...don't you hate it when that happens? Does anyone have a clue what the movie is?
Found it! SO silly, went movie by movie on wikipedia movies of the 90's...it was called Cruel Intentions....thanks, sorry the way my brain is when I can't recall, I can't shut it off...that would have bugged me for a long time!
I like both those movies.
I still remember my mom trying to use "Fear" as a parent-teaching moment...
"See, now she knows who REALLY loves her." at the end...

Cruel Intentions was my favorite of the two.

this happened to my hubby and I last night at dinner - we were talking with our waiter about movies...i had to pull out my phone and google Kevin Kline films because we were going nuts - trying to remember The Big Chill!!! :)

LOL if I had read this earlier I could have told you before you searched. It was the first date movie for husband and I. Not such a great choice, a little steamier than I wanted for a first date!
I think you are thinking of Cruel Intentions. With Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillipe. They are step siblings and Ryan's character writes in a diary. Hope this helps!
