I am looking for a Pumpkin Patch to take my 20 month old to. I live in Olathe but will drive elsewhere if needed. Can anyone give me suggestions as to where to go? Thank you!

What can I do next?

Schaake's between Eudora and Lawrence off K-10 is great, the hayride out to the patch is free, its an actual patch, not just a pile of pumpkins, they have a lot of really different types, not just orange ones. We got 5 average size pumpkins, and it was $17, which compared to the grocery stores, I thought was pretty reasonable. They charge 35 cents per a pound.

There's a really fun pumpkin patch on the south side of Gardner, just off the 2nd exit on I-35. I think there is a charge to get in but it's a really fun time.

kc pumpkin patch in Gardner was great, we went last weekend- I hadnt been for about 5 yrs and they have added so much-$6 to get in (from 1 on up) 40 cents per lb on purchases- hayride out to the patch to pick your own, lots of fun activities for the kids(free)- mini zip line, hay maze, hay slides, water pumps, train ride, petting barn, trike circle, play center-- we had 7 kids total from 1-4 and they all had a ball!

i will echo the KC Pumpkin Patch vote. we went for the first time ever last weekend and i could not believe how fun it was. we'll go every year from now on! i think that a lot of them are pretty similar so price might be the next thing you look at. i'd look at that link someone gave you, from what i understand some of them are free entry (kc pumpkin patch was $6, but well worth it with all the free stuff inside) - but the pumpkins may be more than the .40/lb we paid too, i don't know. definitely take her, it's SO much fun!

Schaakes in Lawrence - it's on the east side so not too far from Olathe. Just take K-10 and exit right before you get into town (signage is pretty good). It's especially for kids with no admission fee and lots of stuff for them to do. We went a few weeks ago, and I think it was 35 cents a pound this year. Have fun! http://www.schaakespumpkinpatch.com/

We have always gone to Carolyn's near Liberty. We are going to try the one in Gardner this year. I have heard good things about it.

We went to a great pumpkin patch in Louisburg last Saturday. I have a 2 year old, and she had so much fun. We went on a hay ride, picked out a pumpkin, observed apples getting washed and turned into cider. They had food there, so we had lunch on hay bales while she listened to old time music and danced. They also have a corn maze, but we didn't go through it. Overall, she had a great time!

They have a website www.louisburgcorn.maze.com

I swear this is the best pumpkin patch around. Johnsons Family Farm, 177th and Holmes. You take a tracker ride out to the patch, cut your own pumpkin from the vine.
They have a small petting zoo there, with new baby piggies too.
They have playsets for little ones, slides, a maze made out of haystacks and for the gardeners... the most beautiful, gigantic mums for only $8 dollars. UFF
The pumpkins are 25cents a lb.

Enjoy... HAPPY FALL!

We live in Olathe too and we just recently went to Suburban Lawn and Garden (135th & Wornall) to get pumpkins. They had free popcorn for all, mums for as low as $2.99 and a free hayride to the pumpkin patch to search for the perfect pumpkin! The cost of the pumpkins is reasonable and its dependent on the size that you choose.

Gardner also has a pumpkin patch, but it costs to go in (I believe last year it was $5 per person), but you can google it on-line for more information. They have a petting zoo, slides, pumpking chucking, etc.

Hope this helps?!

KC Pumpkin Patch in Gardner Kansas. It is just a few minutes from Olathe, get off on the second Gardner exit, go right and then left. You will see signs. We have gone their for about the past 5 years and actually just went yesterday.

I whole-heartedly second Schaake's in Lawrence! My husband started going there when he was in college at KU and that's the only place we've ever gone. Our son is now 18 and our daughter 14 and on our daughter's 12th birthday (October 1st) she ASKED to go to Schaake's for her birthday! We too lived in Olathe many years and now am in Stilwell, but it's worth the drive.

In good health,

Lori K

Louisburg cider mill is the best! (never been to the one in Lawrence.) the one in Gardner is very expensive and terribly rude people there. we have gone to Louisberg a couple years, now. this year we went (family of 6) got to do everything, including eat, and i Still had enough money left to buy myself a nice candle... out of a hundred dollar bill! they have vendors, pony rides, corn maze hay rides and the cider mill store is fantastic! if you go there, you have GOT to try the cider donuts...wow. that
s all ican say.. wow. oh and a small petting zoo.
