Proper Color for a Ring Bearer's Eton Suit in a Fall Wedding.

My grandson is the ring bearer in a wedding in Vermont in Sept....the bride and groom don't really care what he wears. He is only 2 1/2 years old. She is not particularly fond of a mini tux. We thought an eton suit would be appropriate for his age. We were wondering if it should be black or white and what color shoes should he wear? The groomsmen are wearing a tux. Thanks for your advise:) I.

What can I do next?

My son in a tux (complete with vest) at age 2 is perhaps the cutest thing I have EVER seen. Especially towards the end of the day with his jacket off, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, collar open, and little red TEVAs sticking out (he did and does still have shoe issues).

If she reeeeally doesn't want one (cute cute cute), I'd say pearl grey eton suit, or the color to match the vests of the groom and groomsmen would be my 2nd choice, and black and white my 3rd.

My 3 year old son will also be a ringbearer in 2 upcoming weddings, 2 weeks apart from each other. I told each of the couples that I couldn't afford to rent tuxes for the weddings, so I suggested my son wear black dress pants, a white long sleeve button up shirt, and a bow tie the color of the bridesmaid's dresses. Easy and cheap for me, and cute for pictures. Good luck!

I think he should match the rest of the wedding party. I have no idea what a eton suit is lol. But at jc penneys you can get a childs tux for like $50. so cute and you keep it its not rented.

I would follow the other men--if they are in black tuxedos, then I would put him in black.

My grandson has 3 different suits he has worn to Church and to Preschool graduation stuff. He loves getting dressed up and the suits were very reasonable. One was $40 and the others were less. One is black with a dark brown pin stripe, another is tan, and a third has a herringbone black and white jacket with black pants.

I think any kind of suit is okay if it fits with the style of the wedding. If the groom and groomsmen are all wearing tux's then the little boy could too, if they are not then the little boy will be over dressed and look out of place.

Eton suit is appropriate...NOT A TUX.
I think white is appropriate if the wedding is at night and the men are wearing tuxes. White is the most formal eton suit. If wedding is day time or the men are wearing suits then ring bearer should wear navy eton suit or black depending on what the men are wearing.

have fun!

Oh man! I agree, a mini-tux is adorable! My son was a ring bearer last year at age 4 and wore a black suit with tie and vest. I got the whole set on ebay (or Amazon?) for about $40 and it was machine washable. They do come in size 2T. The groom and groomsmen wore black suits. I think it's most important the color matches the men in the wedding party.
