Please do some research on rosacea- it can be related to intestinal problems, low stomach acid, etc. This was very well known in the 1930's by every dermatologist, but now doctors don't have a clue- they just treat the symptoms and don't 'fix' the problem. Proactive is very harsh chemicals and not meant to be used long term and it will not solve the problem. I have an article that I could send you if you want to contact me. Take care, M.

I don't have rosacea but I used Proactive and it worked for me however, my problem was that it is SO expensive! $40 for the kit (which on TV looks normal sized but the bottles are really tiny). The only other problem I had with it was that it made my pillowcases look like I spilled bleach on them. Good luck!

I used it a few years ago and it worked wonders!! I had to stop using it because I couldn't afford it anymore. One thing I did notice though was that it would whiten any fabric it touches kinda like bleach. So make sure you wear just a white t-shirt and use white towels unless you have something that you don't mind being lightened!!

PERFECT QUESTION!!!! It took me a few years to discover what would work and what wouldn`t with having rosacea! Proactive did NOT work for mine! The only thing that has worked for me is at Sams club or Walmart-acne free(cheaper at Walmart-$5.47 and also at Walmart-cheaper yet! Is Purpose-foam or bar! Summer is the worst for me! I have to be put on a low dose of Doxysicline-absolutely NO break outs! I`ve doen alot of research on this over the last 6 months-also another symptom I had no clue was related to Rosacea is dry eye! Go the cheap route! Walmart! I`ve wasted So much money -these work!
Oh and one more thing- Nutrigina (?sp)Foundation works great! No breakouts! You can look up rosacea help online! Thats where I got all my info and everything works great!
I read here someone posted Mary Kay Time wise--That broke me out HORRIBLE!!!!! I used Mary Kay for YEARS! I developed Rosacea right after my 3rd child and I just couldn`t use it anymore and everytime Ive tried to go back to it, it broke me out horrible!

All Proactive is, really, is just a solid dose of Benzoyl Peroxide in a few different forms (with the standard regimen). The "healing cream" is sulfur based. Really, check the ingredients before you spend the $$ on it. You can get the generic CVS formula or Walgreens for half the price.

Hi everyone, this is my first time answering a questions so hope it helps. I have used Proactiv, it is a wonderful product created by Drs. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields. It has helped millions with mild to severe acne. However, this product is not for other skin issues such as Rosacea. Your in luck I am an Indenpendent Consultant for Rodan and Fields Dermatology. This is a newer company created by the same two wonderful Drs. for just these other skincare problems. They have wonderful new products on the market for Sun Damage, Anti-Aging, Adult Acne and one specifically designed for Rosacea. I have not used Proactive so I can't comment on that, but my husband has problems with rosacea on his nose and uses a product called Prosacea gel. It is about $10 and is a cream in a tube and it can be purchased over the counter at pharmacies, as well as Walmart, Target, etc. It is located in the pharmacy's first aid section.
