Preschool for Non-potty Trained 4Yo
I am a SAHM with Social Anxiety issues. Those issues are interfering with socializing my daughter with other kids her age. I think she would benefit greatly from a preschool program. My problem is that she isn't potty trained yet. She was doing pretty good for a while but then just decided one day to be done with it. (might have something to do with her 2.5 yo brother trying to train at the same time?) I think that once she got into an envoronment with kids her age using the potty she will train quickly. But I am having trouble finding a preschool that will take a child that isn't potty trained yet. Anyone have any preschool suggestions in the Tacoma area? Thanks for the help!!

There are a few preschools on local elementary campuses that allow for children who are that age not to be potty trained. My son is an autistic child in such a class and at least one of the peer models(typical children)is not fully potty trained. They work with all the children on potty training issues.

a commercial day care will take her.
kindercare is a national brand of daycare they are OK. we also have childtime and tutor time.
my kindercare still wipes my 4 1/2 year olds behind if he needs help.. most preschools will not enter the bathroom with kids..(unless they make a total mess and need help)

My son went to Community Montessori (near St. Joseph's hospital) for preschool & he wasn't potty-trained when he started. They helped with the potty-training process a great deal, & I highly recommend them. The school has daycare licensure, so they can have the kids for up to 10 hours a day, 5 days a week (DS was only there 3 times, so they gave us cheaper tuition rates), & they provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, & give the kids naptime. Let me know if you have any questions about the school.

She is old enough to know when to go to the toilet. No more pull ups in the daytime. Let her wet her feet. She will stop soon enough.
