Preschool for a 3 Year Old

My daughter turns 3 this weekend and I really would like to get her started in a pre-school prgram 1-3 days per week. She is home with daddy all day and I would like to get her socializing with other kids. Does anyone know of a quality (but INEXPENSIVE) program in the Chandler area?

What can I do next?

I strongly recommend you consider King of Glory Preschool. It is in Tempe, not Chandler, but is an excellent preschool and the rates are the best I've seen! There is a 3-year-old class available on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9-11:30 for $108 per month. The website is www.kogaz.org. The classes begin next week, so you haven't missed anything yet. If you have more questions, reply to me and I can help you out. This is a very, very loving preschool with teachers who have worked there for many years.

My 3 year old son goes to Grace Garden on 48th and Elliott. It is a Christioina based pre-school, with an amazing staff and circulum!
I currently pay $495 a month for part time (3 full days)
I would highly reccommend this one!

Hi J., have you looked at the Chandler school district? I am in Mesa and they have a program for 3 and 4 yr olds to go to pre-k at the elementary schools. They can go either 3 or 4 days a week, and it is $100 a month for 3 days, $133 a month for 4 days. I don't know if Chandler offers that, but you should definitely check into it!

Good luck to you!

(oh, and it is only 2 hours a day)

My kids go to Sunny Days Learning Center at Chandler and Dobson. We've been going there for 7 years and love it. My 2 1/2 year old already knows how to count (not very high but he can count) and knows colors. He can accurately do worksheets with the older kids too. The rates are very competative. They also do other things throughout the year like a Halloween party, dinner with Santa, etc. If you go, tell them Laurie B (Zach's mom) sent you. :-)

Hi! We teach preschool three mornings a week out of my home (M, W, F from 9 - 12 AM). We currently have 7 children attending and this is our fourth year. Both of us have our Master's in Education degree and I'm currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education degree, too. We have a website: www.renaissancepreschool.us that I'd love for you to check out. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at:

Check out www.morningstaracademy.com! Our morning class is currently full, but we just opened an afternoon class and are looking for more kiddos. It might be perfect for your daughter as it's only Tues & Thurs from 12:30 - 2:30 and there are only 4 kiddos right now. With a shorter time and less kids I think it's the perfect way to introduce any kid to preschool.

The best feature we have at MorningStar Academy - Preschool with Results you can SEE - is that you have the ability to view watch your child learn with our online cameras! You're given a special code to log in and you can watch your child the WHOLE time they are at school! We do Core Knowledge Curriculum and Handwriting without Tears which adds to our hands on approach to learning.

We did compare with other programs when deciding on prices. It's true you will find cheaper ones, but you have to decide what you want. Do you just want daycare for pure play and interaction? Or do you really want academic skills integrated in play and learning respect and responsibility? Just decide what you think is best for your daughter and family right now, that's what you should keep in mind when looking for a program.

If you have any questions feel free to send me a message, or check out the the website and give us a call. You could come by for a tour and check it out, we're at Greenfield/Pecos. You'll leave a message or talk to Jamie.

We sent our twins to Creighton United Methodist Children Center in Phoenix (Thomas and 48th Street). It's a wonderfully warm, caring environment run by a woman who's also assisted by her mother and her daughter (3 generations) among a few other qualified pre-school teachers. I suggest checking with a few of the various Christian churches in the vicinity and you're likely to find several options.

Definately look up chandler parks and rec. We go through phx parks & rec (at pecos park in awatukee) and love it. Look up the schedules asap since they might have started already. You can do back to back with an art/soccer class. Also, we did preschool through the kyrene school district, and was very affordable. You might be in the chandler district, but they screen also. So it might be too late.

Chandler Parks & Recs has a great program called "Apples to Zebras" that is pretty cheap. You can chose Tuesdays and Thursdays and I believe it runs about $100 (maybe a little more) for a couple of months worth. The Chandler city website has information on it.

We have enrolled our 3 year old in a Parks and Rec class that teaches ABCs and 123s two days a week through September, to see how he does and if he's ready (he stays with Grandma during the day).

Best of luck!!
