Preschool Exercise/yoga DVD Needed
Do you have any Mommy-and-me-type exercise or yoga DVDs that you have used with your kids? My high-energy daughter needs to burn off some of that energy. When it's too hot in the summer or too windy in the winter, I need something physical we can do inside.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I got the Gaiam yoga DVDs at Target, and my daughter loved them. She was able to do the poses by herself. I will look into the other titles as well. Thanks, Moms!

Hi R.,
There is an exercise DVD that I have seen on-line, and in the Target exercise area, called "Kids Yoga" by Gaiam. There are a few different DVDs to choose from and although they may not be intended for "mommy and me" parents could easily do it with their children. I have not done this particular series, but have done something similar with my elementary school students on inclement weather days and it really does help get out excess energy and more importantly really brings about an element of peacefulness. Its not an excerise or yoga video but my girls have a 12 Dancing Princess Mat (they come in different kinds but all have the same concept). You put in the video and the kids follow along doing the steps on the map. This one has the music from the movie and teaches them the steps of the dances with a real ballerina from the NYC Ballet. My daughter got it for her 3rd birthday and still loves playing with it. Hope that helps!

Hi R.,
My company makes exercise video for kids and adults. Tony Horton, creator of P90X and 10 Minute Trainer and Shawn T creator of Hip Hop ABs and Insanity, both have made exercise videos for kids. Parents can join in with their children and have great fun while setting healthy examples. If you decide you don't like a video or being a member, you can return it within 30 days and get your money back.
