Pregnant with a Cerclage

I am 26 weeks pregnant,I had cerclage put in at 14 weeks and I am bleeding bright red blood now. I went to docs today and I had a pap smear done could that be cause of bleeding? octor diagnosed me with very small contractions and a UTI. Any comments, uidence,or advice would be great.

What can I do next?

I'd call the doctor's office or hospital and ask to speak with someone. Depending on how much bleeding you have, you might need to go in.

None of us are qualified to really answer that question... you really need to call the doctor's office, or the doctor on call. Potential pregnancy complications are nothing to mess with.

You need to call your doctor NOW. This far beyond our knowledge and wisdom.

I think you need to be monitored on the labor and delivery floor, right away!

It sounds to me like a side effect of this is bleeding so I would be at the doctor or ER now.

Did you have a pap smear or a pelvic exam?? I hope you have gone to the doctor.

No, the pap smear didn't cause it, but I have no idea why you had a pap done in the first place under the circumstances.

Call the doctor - everyone is right, this is beyond our expertise and it's nothing to fool around with.
